Holy Moly
I didnt know that
So theres a good chance he will share the title with Lewis and Michael then?
7 times world champion?

I don't think so. I imagine RB to dominate until at least 2025, so perhaps he will have 4-5 championships under his belt. He has stated that he will be around until 2028 and then move on to other things, scary that he will only be like 30. He seems quite adamant that he will be finished with F1 by then, but he might dip sooner if he feels that he is not enjoying it anymore. Only thing stopping him might be his contract, and who knows what kind of clauses is in that thing.

Not sure anyone outside of Max can get close to the 7 titles of MS and LH. It does not seem that is his driving motivator though.

Some believe that DR sudden drive for AT is just a way to get rid of him from RB and F1. Last chance saloon with little hope of any other outcome

Perhaps, or it is a way to test him to see if he can replace Perez for 2024. RB is a funny team. One minute you are hot shyte, the next you are out.

I really think that the operating windows of teams other than RB are very narrow and any slight deviation from that causes the car to be difficult to drive. It’s been happening throughout the season when Aston, Ferrari and Merc all look at coming good but then go backwards in the next race.

Hungaroring has quite different characteristics to Silverstone so it’s possible that the updated McLaren is not suited to this track. But if it was, it would bode well for them.

FOM will approve Andretti's entry. They need that name to attract the US fan base.

I think it will also hinge on Cadillacs future. For now it seems that they will just rebadge the Alpine engine. There was some talk of them making their own power unit eventually.

I think F1s aim is to bring more manufacturers into the sport and their ultimate goal is to have 10 or 11 teams each linked to their own power unit manufacturer or supplier with no customer deals. With Ford and Audi, they will be up to 6 for 2026.

Agree with this. Was like this last year too.

I don't know if more than 10 teams is the way to go in F1 imo. We can already see the chaos on quali day when 20 cars are trying to get a time in, add another 2-4 cars in that mix?

Easy fix. Split Q1 in to two halves. 12 cars in each half, bottom 4 drop out.
Only trouble with that is the bottom 4 in one half could beat the bottom 10 in the other half and still be out.

They just need to extend quali. It's too short IMO.

No no. Group 1 runs, then group 2 runs. Bottom 4 times of the total get the boot. Problem with that is track evolution. The second group will always be faster. Or, it starts to rain and group 2 cannot come close to matching time for group 1, which would be unfair. Although, that's still fair in that it's determined to be that way before the weekend begins, so it's just bad luck at that point.
