Soft tyre also can't do full stint if you loose it in the first corner due to rookie mistake.

If it wasn't for the crappy sand trap he probably would've driven it back round to the pits for a new one. You probably too young to remember how 3 wheeling was common. Check this "rookie mistake" ... 3 wheels in the rain and won.

HUH?
3 wheels and won? Won what?
He was taken out by an idiot that thinks you can lift off the throttle in the rain when the guy behind you cant see anything. He won nothing, his race was over.
There was another idiot in the same race that also thought lifting off the throttle in a wet race is a good idea and took someone else out similarly.

Sargeant - Pull out of race due to heatstroke
Stroll - Lost consciousness on track. After race straight into ambulance
Ocon - Vomiting in helmet
Albon - Needed assistance getting out of car. Not seen after the race or interviewed. Assumed straight to medical centre with heatstroke.
Alonso - Requesting water poured into car during pit stop.

Half of the other drivers lying on the floor after the race. Likely all in for a rough night with heatstroke.

Whoever decided Doha this time of the year should be in trouble. They are lucky no one crashed. I guess FIA got a lekker paycheck though so all good.

Holy crap, that's hectic.

Maybe it needed to drizzle a bit to red flag the race. Heatstroke isn't a hazard to drivers compared to water...

Perhaps I should've been more clear. Hamilton won an F1 race with 3 working wheels. The rookie mistake was referencing your rookie mistake reference indicating that it happens to the best of drivers.

Stop being a knob.
You can comment on the race, it's mostly the ridiculous criticism that gets knocked. So just have a healthy debate without being a ****?

I wonder if they'll nail Alonso for that rejoin, didn't look much like a safe rejoin.
Nope. Innocuous posts get deleted when some overly sensitive people report them. Generally Hamilton supporters. No worries. Just don't respond to those.

NO, you were talking BS like normal. You said 3 wheels in rain and won with a picture of MS at 1998 Belgium gp.

One of the causes is a lack of water...

Drivers have a 500ml bottle of water in the car. Clearly not enough.

Bwahahaha
This man thinks his posts are the only ones that get deleted.

Yes Maurice, you are a victim. Never forget it please.

And that 500ml gets hot in minutes...

Car/Helmet+Suit AC might become a thing with all these GP's in hot AF places.

Not at all. Just remarking on who you can rib and who not. I've never reported anyone on this forum. Not necessary. If you can't stand your ground, you probably shouldn't be here. Especially if you're anonymous. Just ignore the posts that may previously have commented on.

;)

I think yesterday's race showed why Indycar pipes in air to the helmut.

From what I could pick up from the various driver interviews, inhaling the hot humid air was one of the main issues the drivers had. That is why several of them opened their visors during the race, but then the risk, as Tsunoda found out, was dust/sand coming into their helmut and eyes!

If they had fresh, clean air that was not being heated by their cockpit or the car(s) in front, maybe their physical situation would have been better.

There were too many issues with this past weekend. Pirelli admitted they never saw the track kerbs before they arrived with the tyres. This after issues in 2021 AND, where is that C0 extra hard tyre they have developed??

I think the heat exhaustion was more to do with the fact that the race was 57 qualy laps because of zero tyre management. The drivers had no rest during the race. This was a straight knock on from the tyre limitations.

Most of us have watched Nigel Mansell trying to push his car over the line and collapsing from exhaustion in that now famous race. They are high performance athletes trained to operate in extreme environments. But yesterday was probably the perfect storm to push them over the edge.
