I think its going to be a 4 team fight, with at least 6 drivers all taking wins over the season.

the champion at the end is going to be the Driver with the most podiums, and that might end up not being the driver with the most wins.

I think Ferrari and Mclaren will be the "main" contenders, wiht Red Bull and Merc fighting behind them.
a few races will be decided by contact between top 4 on the first lap.

I predict 2 new race winners this year, in Kimi and Lawson. I predict 3 DNF's for Norris due to Contact. 2 for Max and 2 For Leclerc and 2 for Hamilton. not going to risk predicting race ending crashes for Lawson or Kimi, but it wont be zero. I also think Russel will have at least 1 race ending contact as well.

Either way its going to be a fantastic season.
I feel like all the teams have done everything they can wiht the design of the car as it stands now. maybe Aston Martin will catch up to take 5th comfortably, but that is the only placement that I will risk predicting. the Drivers and Constructers is impossible to predict. and even the bottom 5 is so close, that its all a matter of luck. imagine there are no crashes between drivers in the top teams, and Aston keep their car firmly ahead of the other 5 teams behind them. there is a case to be made where any team other than Mclaren, Ferrari, Mercedes, Redbull andAston Martin fail to score any points all year.

I have not been this excited for a season to start since the start of 2022 when anything could still happen.

Lewis and Le Clerc is imho the best driver's pairing of the year. Hopefully Kimi can do some wonders at Mercedes as well, if he is as good as rumours suggest Mercedes might be the ones to beat this coming year.

I'm super conflicted this year in terms of which team to support, my two favourite drivers are driving for arguably the team with the worst strategists on the paddock. Let's hope they can get their act together this year.

If KA does bad at Mercedes they'll hopefully put Bottas in that seat.

McLaren are in that debate as well. Piastri and Norris are rapid. If Norris has learned from last year and composes himself, they are going to be hard to beat. You don't win a Constructor's Championship with average Joes. Two very good drivers in a very good car.

Kimi is 18 and was error prone when he hopped in the Mercedes. He has a steep learning ahead of him. And he has a tough teammate to beat in Russell. I would be cautious as to what to expect from him.

What if.... what if Williams returns to form with Mr Smooth Operator at the wheel. That's going to ruffle some feathers.
I think even they're trying to be realistic. If they can start competing more consistently with Haas and Vcarb, that would be a big win for them...

I think this season either makes or breaks Albon.

If Sainz joins and they're one par, then we know Albon is as good as we think. If he starts getting spanked, I think he'll be done.

the only teammate worth his salt has been Colapinto and he ran him rough when he wasn't flying across the track and into a wall.

I don't really rate Norris very high, he is good in a fast car, but most of the other top driver's would have done much better in a car that fast, either Lewis or Verstappen would have been championship contenders in that car last year. Yeah, Kimi is a rookie so it's a long shot, but lets see, maybe he'll surprise us.

a lot of interesting team mate matchups this year.

Established driver vs Driver changing team:
Lewis vs charles
Carlos vs Alex
Max vs Liam (kind of the other group as well)

rookie at new team:
George Vs Kimi
Yuki vs Issac
Ollie vs Esteban
Pierre vs Jack
Nico vs Gabriel

unchanged teams:
Fernando vs Lance
Oscar vs Lando.

out of all those Pairing these is only 1 pairing that is not going to be interesting to keep an eye on, and that is Ferando vs Lance.

watching the rookies perform relative to the team mate is going to be hard to keep track of because there are so many things to watch, and the action at the front is hopefully going to be taking most of our attention away from the lower order.

It isn't that he lacks ability, he's just a bit...fragile(?)...when the heat is on and seemed easily distracted by outside noise. Which is why I mentioned that if he can learn from last season and compose himself, he'd be all the better for it. Finding a bit of mongrel won't hurt either, especially if you want to fight with Max.

True, after his spats with Max last year he might have learned a lot. He must also not be bullied as quickly, he'll to start getting his elbows out, and keep it out if he wants to take the fight to the others.

Spot on. Max clearly intimidated him. He had Max rattled enough for Max to show his 2021 nasty streak, but then once Max got nasty, he crumbled.

Exactly, neither Clucky or Lewis stands back for Max. And until Lando realizes this he has no chance of a championship win, regardless of how fast his car is.

Lewis is already iconic in that Ferrari

There are so many interesting angles to look at this season!
- Influx of exciting new rookies
- Rookies vs Established drivers
- Old pro's switching to iconic teams (Carlos and Lewis)
- Performance of all teams coalescing
- The re-emergence of some teams like Alpine, Williams and Haas
- Red Bull's fading dominance making Verstappen's 5th title very VERY difficult to get

I wish I could say this about every season 😅

Definitely looking to be a good season.

I think ferrari are the wildcard this season. They’re coming with basically a new car, I think everyone else is running an evolution.

the first and last season of regulations are always the best.

all we really want is 6 different winners in the first 6 races, and for those 6 drivers to all finish with 6 wins at the end of the season. close season decided by the most consistant driver who puts up the best results most often.

imagine top 6 drivers each have 4 wins and 4 podium finishes, going into the final race with 2 or 3 drivers all having a shot at the title, a tie on points where countback is also a tie. there is so much that could happen.

we wont get that, but we can hope for at least a competative season

I think we will have more winners this year, actually. I predict 8 race winners from 6 teams:
- Max (Red Bull)
- Lewis (Ferrari)
- Charles (Ferrari)
- Lando (McLaren)
- Oscar (McLaren)
- George (Mercedes)
- Andrea Kimi (Mercedes)
- Pierre (Alpine)
- Carlos (Williams)

Outside chance: Esteban (Haas) and Liam (Red Bull).
Only if the racing gods allow it: Fernando (AM), Ollie (Haas), Yuki (Racing Bulls)

Carlos will only really be able to get that Williams in the top 3 in the second half of the season....

And I predict the championship leader will change several times.

that is a VERY bold prediction.

I like it.

but Williams/Alpine will at best be fighting Aston for the last few points.

I say 6 winners from 4 teams. I don't see Liam or Kimi getting a win this season.
but man if either of them can pull off a win it will be fantastic.

and the chances of Those 2 getting a win is much higher than Pierre or Carlos getting a win.

Yes the Alpine became really competitive in the last few races, and maybe it can be more competitive than Aston, but that is going to be the fight, they wont be fighting for podiums.

There would be insane scenes if Yuki finishes first in a Racing Bulls at Suzuka though, and it would be incredibly poetic

I'm not that optimistic about Carlos and Pierre's fortunes - podiums perhaps. In saying that I'd love to be wrong. I think Liam has a chance of a win.
