Solid drive by Piastri
Great drive by Max, deserved DOTD. One pit stop more than the rest and still in amongst leaders with his slow car.
Good for Leclerc. Could have been better if his speedbump teammate did not hold him up for a few laps.
LOL I said last year what a bad move it was for Ferrari, now they sit with that slow driver thats complaining the whole day. How long is that contract?
LOL at Sainz whole 2025

As for the Max/Russell incident.
Whoever decided Max must give the place back, is to blame for this. It was clearly Russell driving into Max and then to tell him to give the place back was asking for trouble.
I have not seen conformation of the stewards told the team or the team decided themselves.
And why did Russell not get a penalty for the first incident?
British mafia?

Max drove off track and gained an advantage by not losing a position.

I just finished watching the race... OMW that was crazy! The drama at the end was mad!

The strategies alone were super interesting watching them figure out when to pit, how many times they were pitting, and figuring out who is pitting where...
McLaren was so good that nobody really bothered them, but P3 and below were up for grabs for anyone really!
And then it was Antonelli's turn for a random Mercedes engine failure... So late though! 5 lap sprint to the end!
Verstappen-Russell beef is really amping up, one of those two are going to come off second-best just now
Alonso really impressed in the overtake department all race, it was beautiful
HULK PASSING LEWIS FOR P6 THO
All the overtakes were so great because pretty much everyone had a difference in tyres
In the end pretty much every corner had overtakes happening! Cinema!

:popcorn::cool:

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Barcelona delivered!

The greatest move in history will be Verstappen saying yes to Toto he will join Merc next year, but only if they drop George.

Rosberg really needs to stfu
I listened to him, he's great 😁
But then I get irritated with Crofty. If you listen to Crofty carefully you'll notice he makes mistakes quite often.
Rosberg is there to correct him, which he does. A lot. He even called a couple drivers out as well!
He gets excitable though, he did irritate me here and there. So he is not perfect.

I still think Alex Jacques and David Coulthard are the best comentating duo for F1, myself.

so ...

at the safety car restart:
- Leclerc hits Max ... no penalty
- Russell hits Max ... no penalty

few laps later Max hits Russell ... penalty

should've been either three penalties or none, there's no other permutation that applies the rules consistently

- Leclerc was driving in a straight line, not deviating anywhere, and Max basically turned into him. On a straight.
- Russell hitting Max on the first corner was a bit dodgy, but it was judged that Max had to give the place back
- Then Max quite deliberately hit Russell. Definite penalty, no grey area there. Any driver doing that would have also got a penalty.

Yes Russell hit Max that he had to go of track. Yet Max had to give the position back.
No wonder he got pissed.
Rosberg could not believe it.

Leclerc himself said he was pushing Max back to get to the clean track. You could see him slowly pushing back. Max just swerved right into him instead of holding his ground. I do place Leclerc ahead at that point as well.

The world champion was penalised by 10 seconds at the end of the race and given three penalty points, bringing his total to 11 for a 12-month period

Horner disappeared conveniently at the end there lol. No interviews that I could see.
Max blamed the tyres. Yet again proving he is terrible if he doesn't have a winning car.
LOL I know nothing has hit Netflix yet. but.
The latest article on F1.com have both Toto and Horner's reactions on the incident. So you should try get F1 news other than Netflix.
Oh and on that point. Max won 2021 with not the fastest car.
He won 2024 with not the fastest car.
2025 he is still in the hunt with not even the 3rd fastest car.
That Netflixclopidia of yours is showing the cracks in your knowledge.

Nobody notice how out of sync the audio was on F1TV? At each pitstop, the wheels were already off when the guns made a noise. Lots on X also complained. I eventually switched back to Sky for my sanity.

As a long-standing Max fan, it really irks me when a bad day on track brings out the worst in him. He should've stayed out and defended from P1 on old softs after the restart. The team also should not have told him to give Russell the position back. But there's no excuse for intentionally hitting Russell.

you might want to re-watch that, the exact opposite happened, Max almost lost it coming onto the main straight which is how Leclerc got alongside, Max kept it dead straight from there and Leclerc turn into him. On a straight ... I have it on HD torrent off the high seas and can rewind and slow it down at my leisure. 100% Leclerc was the one moving.

His team made that call, makes no difference to the fact that Russell hit him, if stewards are handing out penalties for hitting people then where's Russell's penalty?

- Then Max quite deliberately hit Russell. Definite penalty, no grey area there. Any driver doing that would have also got a penalty.
Not saying he shouldn't be penalised, simply saying the other drivers who did the same thing should ALSO have been penalised.

lmao ... 3rd in the championship in an off car while both team mates he's had this year are 15th and 17th respectively

Max has not had a winning car all year, a good driver getting the most out of that red bull should be 6th in the championship at best ... Max is 3rd
