— Helmut Marko criticized Lando Norris for allegedly obstructing Max Verstappen during qualifying. Marko described Norris's actions as "incomprehensible" and suggested that the McLaren driver "completely blocked" Verstappen. Speaking to Sky Sports, Marko remarked:
“It was very, very close – as we expected. But Norris's move was incomprehensible. We were already one and a half tenths up on our previous lap.”
“He completely blocked Max in the final two corners. For Norris, there was nothing to gain, so I just don't understand it. I hope he simply didn't look in his mirrors. I can't imagine it was intentional.”
— Max Verstappen expressed his frustration, hinting that the incident would be remembered for future reference. He commented:
“That's what happens when there's a car in front of you just cruising two seconds in front. So that's noted. It will be remembered as well.”
— When asked about the incident, Verstappen clarified he was not referring to Oscar Piastri, Norris's teammate. He added:
“So that was a bit of a shame. Otherwise, I think it could have been close for pole. It's always very exciting here in qualifying.”
“Of course, a little bit disappointed to not be first but for us this weekend, so far, it's been really good.”
— Lando Norris dismissed the criticism, suggesting that Red Bull frequently complains. He stated:
“They always complain, they complain about everything. That's Red Bull.

Marko is a farking joke.

It's about time this 82-year-old nazi retired. Jeeesus

I can't stand old people who take away jobs from others.
Then you must be very happy that the government has just raised the retirement age by between 5 to 10 years.

In a late change, Pierre Gasly and Alex Albon are set for pit lane starts, both ostensibly due to their respective teams breaking Parc Ferme conditions by altering the car setup as needed.

Oscar whining you mean. They're free to race or not. Norris was shunted into Piastri by Verstappen. Piastri needs to harden up.
True, let's hope when Oscar gives it back to "Lando No-wins" he'll take it with grace.

That end plate looks like it won't be long before it comes off.
