Well then here we are.

When there's news we will discuss it. Otherwise the subject may wander a tad.

After the reveal event there will be a ton of new liveries, memes, videos, and cool bits and bobs to discuss. Promise.
 
Lol! Since this thread has turned a bit sideways I would like to share some oldies, since the release of new liveries and cars I can't help but pine for the days of sleek, simplistic and beautiful F1 cars of yesteryear. Now isn't this just a lovely looking car? The very first Scuderia Ferrari F1 car driven by Michael Schumacher was this, chassis 157, at the private Ferrari test track, Fiorano, on November 16th 1995. This car is 30 years old.

The look of modern F1 cars to me personally seem all pretty much generic nowadays, and all the added bits and pieces, fins here and there is all too much, veins guiding all sorts of airflow all over the show. It's like they're trying to cover all areas for that extra little bit of performance. They are only distinguished by their sponsors.

It should go back to limited simpler designs, but then people will say, but F1 is the pinnacle of technology, design and progress... yes, I get that, but still... but dammit, put back real engines that roar the s!ht out of the scenery when driving by. It's not like F1 would damage the environment that much, it's only 20 cars running around. :p

I guess that's the easy way and cost effective way do to something for Monaco through artificial overtaking through pit stops, but each year when watching Monaco I'm thinking of a way how they could improve overtaking on the actual track. They're so stuck up about the tradition of the race at Monaco and just don't want to relent, but just like every other F1 track has had to make changes to accommodate upgrades, circuit speed and safety all around the world, they should also look into doing something similar. Times change, so should Monaco when it comes to the circuit. It just needs that one decent overtake section, because frankly all the others are very high risk overtakes and most times will end in tears.

I still feel for the short term the section after the tunnel should be just that one long section without the chicane and before entering towards the swimming pool section should be a hard braking slow corner where an overtake could be completed, which would already be setup from within the tunnel.

I don't know the layout of Monaco streets, but maybe into the future look at other sections to use instead and replace others, if at all possible... but that's breaking tradition.
 
There are many other boring tracks that produce boring races every year.
Monaco's Qualifying more than make up for that and the tradition, history and fanfare still make it a great weekend for real f1 fans.
DTS fans on the other hand will find it boring and not enough drama and fashion.
 
Looks a bit plain to me. Sainz getting a seat there will hopefully give them a chance.
 
yeah man i like the williams a lot, the lady who interviewed them is a bit cringe though to me personally, nitpicking though, overall a funny and good show
 
F1 becomes showbiz.

It's much better with the sound off, especially with the black suit dude.
He looks like he belongs in Loving, or Santa Barbara.
