I can't point out that someone has had a great career since he arrived at the sport who only slowed down after 2021 in his late 30's because the car wasn't quite up to scratch? And this same guy has tied the same amount of WDC's as the great Michael Schumacher? Same guy who managed to win some races last year because Mercedes got the car setup right?

I can say that Fangio was great and so was Senna, but not Hamilton?

All I'm saying is that a happy Hamilton is a quick Hamilton, and a quick Hamilton is a title contender even at 40 years of age.
Now you may make your arguments for Norris or Piastri or Leclerc or Verstappen all you like, but they have to go up against an all-time-great in a better car than he's had in years. Not to mention that winning the World Driver's Championship in a Ferrari is Hamilton's childhood dream, so that's some additional motivation there.

There are going to be some epic battles at the front for sure!
Like I said earlier, you can say what you want and have your own opinion. But having a history of being extremely bias towards one driver makes your credibility a bit dodgy, so we just take whatever you say with a pinch of salt.

Bottas won in that Merc and looked liked a great driver, when he left he was exposed and now don't even have a seat. Rosberg was also just an average driver, he even won a championship in that Merc. So your theory is not up to scratch, maybe that Merc covered for Hamilton's slower pace and only when we had new regulations and cars it was exposed.

Every driver have childhood dreams. Unfortunately unlike DTS your dreams is not real world and is not going to make you faster.

I’m not a Ferrari or Hamilton fan and even I have to agree that I expect to see Hamilton ending in the top 3 again in 2025.

And I’m looking forward to it.

I’ve got some illogical wishful thinking that Sainz will do some miracle with that Williams, but in reality I expect McLaren to win both constructors and drivers championships in 2025.

With Ferrari or Mercedes coming in second.

Red Bull likely third or even fourth.

And old man Alonso to show them all how it’s done in 2026. 🤣

Last year I didn't mention Hamilton much, lol
This year momentum has shifted his way somewhat, and I have pointed this out.

Bottas is still a great driver, he was just driving for Sauber which is quite a lot slower than the rest.
He's back at Mercedes as their reserve driver, so if someone is unwell this year you might see a resurgent Bottas hit the track.

Making a childhood dream a reality is one of the greatest feelings in life. Its what you might call a motivating factor. You push the envelope just that much harder to attain goals like these, because your lifelong dream awaits you as a reward. In racing that might mean carrying higher speed through a corner just on the edge of your limit of grip, a little harder than you might normally do so. Or trying that super risky move that could elevate you up the order, instead of trying a more cautions approach. So yes, the right motivation makes you a bit faster.

Why am I explaining this, as an adult you should know this already...

OMG. Do you realize what marketing is? That is what this move at the end of his career is. All this hype, the posing for photos and videos for social media is all their to pay him his big money and for the sponsors. It does not make the Ferrari faster nor Hamilton faster. Seriously, this is not DTS.

Look, I watched F1 a lot way back in the 90's and 2000's (this is before the Netflix era, fam)

You get certain vibes from watching practice. You can see which team is happy, which is nervous, which seems to be struggling, who might surprise everybody, etc. That's what makes it interesting. Add the chatter from the pitlane from interviews and whatnot and you start seeing the lay of the land of the season ahead. From there, opinions can be drawn about how things may go down...

This is just how I think the season will go. It could be complete bollocks of course, or developments could completely change the order in two races, but I gave my reasons on why I think what I think....

You can go back to watching Drive To Survive now, I won't disturb you :giggle:

I expect a bit of burnout towards the end. These seasons are getting long for drivers.

They are getting a bit long for the fans too.
My wife never objected to losing me for 12 weekends a year but now I have to be prepared to miss a few races so that we can spend a few weekends away together like we used to.
So I spend that time offline, avoiding the discussions on the net and avoid TV's in Bars, so that I can binge watch the recorded sessions when I get back.

Yesterday I asked my wife if she could please take the kids to school on Friday morning. She said OK. Wondering when the why question will pop up.....
