4k F1TV Premium has launched, but only for iOS devices and AppleTV as far as I can establish - $8.99

Almost double the price of F1TV Pro.

I'll upgrade when they finally roll out to Android TV so my Mi Box can 4K it...
Given the state of my eyes - 2 lens replacements and a retinal detatchment repair, I'll give that a miss hahaha.

Mi Box and most Android boxes are probably not powerful enough to handle the Multiview features and 4k simultaneously.

Not a fair comparison to be honest. Michael stopped racing when he retired at the end of 2006. He then briefly attempted to race superbikes, had a nasty fall and damaged his neck, which never healed properly. Aside from a test session in 2009 when he was seen as a potential replacement for the injured Felipe Massa, there was a 4-year gap where Michael didn't race cars competitively.

Alonso kept active after he left F1. Sportscar/Endurance racing, Indycar and the Dakar kept his racing skills tuned, if not expanded them.
Yes, Schumacher lazed around for 4 years. So you would put it down to rustiness then that caused Schumacher to have a less than stellar 3 year racing return with Mercedes? So, if you stop racing for a few years, does that make you lose your driving skills and how to be a racing driver, especially for someone of his caliber who dominated the scene for many years? If you decide to return to high level racing again you go through a strict regime of fitness training to endure racing again, testing sessions, practice sessions etc., to get rid of the rustiness, and after a few races behind the wheel should be able to feel at home again, you don't just lose that after a few years off... maybe he did? I'm pretty sure he gave it his 100% commitment. Just imagine if he stayed on for just another year, that would've been interesting.

Let me put it another way then... lets say Schumacher did exactly the same thing Alonso did, I'll put both of them in the same car, and Alonso will still beat him all the way, 41 years and up. :p

The level of arguments sometimes amaze me on this thread.
What did Alonso do since he became old to proof he is still good? Beat mediocre teammates?
Last time I checked, the last race he won was in 2013 when he was 32.
How old was Schumacher in his last race win 37?

But surely 4k on its own should be possible on certified Google TV devices (not talking about cheap android boxes from the flea market)
Well it cost more than the normal subscription so to justify that, your get a few extra features, so boxes that can't handle the other features are probably not included.
I am just speculating, maybe some more will be added later as they first need updates or something

Makes sense :) Wonder if they will try and ban F1 Multiviewer now

F1 probably don't want to have to pay Google a 30% cut of the subscription and brokered a deal with Apple to cut the app store fees...

Has anyone setup an F1 Fantasy league yet?

Edit: It appears the F1 app team is still putting it all together....
