I might be mistaken but if you look at the data feed, sector 1 is the only place where the leaders are consistently faster than the rest. Sectors 2 and 3 the times look similar.

Too much ego at McLaren. Piastri had better pace. Max did what he does. Race of the rookies today… Antonelli, hadjar and bearman all shining. Tsunoda at least beats Lawson but arguably where he’d probably have finished in the vcarb anyway. Not the most eventful race.
