I forget some people are still stuck with the sky circus
Not stuck, a preference. Can't stand the F1TV team. Each to his own. I find the insights better from Sky, like this case, highlighting the new rules around stopping the car after an incident

If you actually bothered to read the rule you posted you would've seen that what's changed is that the race director can tell a damaged car to stop - it's not necessarily automatically required. Sainz limped to the pit with no issues.

Maybe the sky guys should go for some reading lessons.

Any driver whose car has significant and obvious damage to a structural component which results in it being in a condition presenting an immediate risk of endangering the driver or others, or whose car has a significant failure or fault which means it cannot reasonably return to the pit lane without unnecessarily impeding another competitor or otherwise hindering the competition must leave the track as soon as it is safe to do so.

And if you read my original post I said I wasn't sure I agreed with the rule change, the more I think about it I don't, has created interesting racing in the past and I have finished a race with a puncture and scored points.
