Alpine deliver Franco Colapinto medical update after test crash:
— Franco Colapinto was involved in a crash during the second day of a Pirelli tyre test at the Hungaroring. The incident occurred at the high-speed Turn 11 corner. Alpine confirmed the crash on their social platforms, noting that Colapinto was assessed at the circuit's medical center and is in good condition. An Alpine statement read:
“During Day 2 of Pirelli Tyre Testing at the Hungaroring this morning, Franco Colapinto had an incident at Turn 11. Franco was assessed on site at the medical centre and is OK.”
— Since replacing Jack Doohan from the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Colapinto has faced challenges, often finding himself at the lower end of the timesheets. Despite these struggles, he managed to out-qualify Pierre Gasly in Hungary and finished one place ahead of him in the race, securing 18th position.
— Pierre Gasly has been the sole contributor to Alpine's points tally this season, with all 20 points attributed to his efforts. This has left Alpine at the bottom of the constructors' standings.

This is Formula 1

Old Ham will probably announce another business venture that he is partnering with someone...
Famous people all seem to get into alcohol or energy drinks, but having just done the F1 movie maybe a movie production house

I would bet my money on those two, not a retirement in any sense, he's just joined a team that paid him a fortune.

Yeah, looking at the post, seems some new venture, looks artistic, so probably something nobody will give a f about.

So what would you say is the most logical explanation for a match who's flame is out?

And then next to it a matchbox with an open door with many new matches to light.

He was cracked when a young Verstappen beat him in 2021 with a much slower car.
Then he totally lost the plot when he suddenly did not have the fastest car anymore.

One have to blame the fans and media for his depression. They made him believe that he is a GOAT, and not that he was just driving the fastest car for years.

The RB16B was not ''much slower'' than the W12.

Honda made huge strides in 2021, completely rebuilding their engine and moving from a power deficit to parity with Mercedes. EDIT: If memory serves, the 2021-spec was brought forward from 2022 as this was at a time when Honda was seriously considering walking away from F1 and they decided to go all-in for a shot at winning a championship, so they threw everything into it.

The floor reg changes for 2021 were also in favour of Red Bull as it worked against low-rake cars (Mercedes) while benefitting high-rake cars (Red Bull)

There is a reason why Mercedes gave Hamilton the now infamous "rocket engine" towards the end of the season, starting with that race in Brazil. They had no major performance advantage throughout 2021 and had been using Bottas as a guinea pig from the midway point of the season to find the limit of their ICE. The experimenting with Bottas gave them the confidence to crank Hamilton's last ICE allocation to its absolute limit for the final stretch.

Following a sluggish opening quarter, Liberty Media shelled out over $513 million to teams following a strong Q2 performance, helped by the release of the F1 movie.

Liberty Media set for record team payments

Announced today, Liberty Media’s second quarter results show a strong recovery following a tough opening three months of 2025.

After posting just $403 million in the opening quarter, $150 million down on the same period last year, revenue has grown to $1.226 billion for the three months to June 30.

It marks the last quarter out as the second strongest during Liberty Media’s ownership of Formula 1’s commercial rights.

The 10 F1 teams are entitled to more than $513 million of that, up from just $114 million in Q1.

If Gayton McKenzie is removed as sport minister for his dumba** tweets and the new replacement halts all the F1 funding before any contracts are signed I’m gonna be so depressed.

I think now that his name is up in lights, those digging a bit deeper will read about his robbery conviction and long prison visit.

I highly doubt the FIA will want to talk to that convict again

Not 'nobody' I bet the drinks company that sponsors him loved it.

Thousands if not Millions of people world wide were eagerly waiting for his announcement.

Most people in the world had never herd of a smoky tequila, let alone an alcohol free one.
Now Millions know that it exists and the brand.

That is priceless to the company.
