Gents,

I have never switched sides or thrown away my supporters jersey.
But now is my time.

I will be supporting Cadillac going forward.

I reckon Bottas will have Checo on the quali but race pace might swing to Checo. Will be interesting to see who slots in where. I don't think you can find two drivers with more experience in top teams, that is available currently.

Jean Claude its James.......

Valtteri is not a hasbeen.
They both been in F1 for over 12 years. Never had any moments of brilliance to think they anything else than 2nd drivers.
Just another boring signing like a Hulkenberg/Magnussen combo, to try keep keep crashing minimal and costs low.
HAAS 2.0, just there for the clout, not to compete.

I’m guessing bottas wasn’t in DTS? And Checo was great while he was the “minister of defense” eh? They’re a new team, spend money on engineering and then drivers. Both come with tons of experience and benchmark data which engineers can and will use.

Completely ignoring the fact that they are both proven race winners with the cumulative experience of 527 Grands Prix under their belts. They are bringing a treasure trove of technical input to a team that will be starting from 0. They have also both driven for championship-winning teams, so they will likely influence team culture as well. They are going to set a respectable technical baseline for Cadillac from where they can grow.

And you cannot even begin to compare Haas to Cadillac. Haas are a pure customer team, they don't even design their own chassis. Cadillac is investing heavily in facilities and will ultimately be a full factory team, producing their own PU.

Guys, remember, neither Bottas nor Perez are Max "the second coming of Chuck Norris" Verstappen, so of course they are terrible and worthless drivers who contribute nothing and don't know anything of use.

When viewed through this lens, the pessimistic nature of the Dumb makes sense.
