Or he was just being Max and willing to take the Risks that other drivers avoid.

That is because next year it won't be Daddy's team anymore, so his seat is no longer guaranteed.
He now needs to show that he deserves a drive, can be a team player and can behave in public showing respect for the sport.

No, Lawrence Stroll is not selling his F1 team ; instead, the British car brand Aston Martin is selling its minority stake in the Aston
Martin F1 team. The sale of the car company's shares is intended to provide financial liquidity for the struggling car manufacturing business and does not impact Stroll's control or the team's long-term future, which is secured by a new sponsorship and licensing agreement.

What a pity.....

Even if he sold a controlling stake he’d ensure his kid got a long run for a few years at least.

I forgot I even had a team, I set it up before the first race to see what is involved and then forgot about it.
I am probably lingering somewhere behind HAAS right now :unsure: ;)

FIA reveal 'concessions' to teams ahead of major F1 rule tweak

For 2023-2025, the limit has stood at $135 million, although this has been adjusted to reflect global inflation, with the current 10 teams based in three countries: the United Kingdom, which uses Pound Sterling, Italy, which use the Euro, and Switzerland which use the Swiss Franc, with prize money paid in US dollars.

However, for 2026, F1's new era will be met with a significant rise in the cost cap up to $215 million USD (£159.6 million) to reflect the new regulations, as well as taking into account other associated costs.
