If RB use/partner with Ford engines from 2026, they won't need Yuki. Honda is going to Aston Martin and neither Fernando or Captain Useless will leave the team. I think Hadjar will get promoted.

There will probably be some agreement for them to leave a handful of engines and spares for TPC but they won't be involved in any tests and Yuki's participation is definitely not required. The partnership ends in two months and they are most likely already working with Aston for 2026's car.

Williams unveil new logo and evolved identity from 2026 season

Williams Racing will become Williams F1 Team from next season as part of a refresh of the iconic British squad's identity.

The Grove-based team is among the most successful Formula 1 teams of all time, with nine Teams' Championships (putting them third on the all-time list), seven drivers' titles and 114 Grand Prix wins.

Williams are well into a rebuild phase under the ownership of Dorilton Capital and leadership of James Vowles and are set to finish an impressive fifth in the teams' standings this year having scored 111 points to date, which is more than their tally accrued in the last seven seasons combined.

In line with the introduction of sweeping new chassis and power unit rules next season, Williams have opted to revise their team name, which they say "connects the team's glorious legacy to its bold and ambitious future", and team logo.

Imho Hadjar off to RB. End of the road for Yuki or Liam. I think Liam has the edge currently though.

Yeah I agree, Lindblad with Lawson in the Racing Bulls. Hadjar has done more in Racing Bulls in one season than Yuki could in 5 years. I have always felt he was just the Honda guy, never a true prospect.

Whoever gets that second seat hopefully can adjust to that car. Yuki has had more than enough opportunity but perhaps he can find a seat elsewhere. Certainly not the worst driver in F1.

I can only see him be pulled into Aston in some capacity. He might go to Indy Car as well with Honda being big there.
No, I think his time in F1 is done.

It’s that or sacrifice Hadjar for that cursed Max understudy role. Who knows, Racing Bulls might beat Red Bull next year if the Ford motor can’t go the distance.

Yuki is almost certainly out of F1. The Red Bull-Honda partnership is officially coming to an end. Red Bull have no reason to retain him, and Honda have made it public that they will not be carrying him any longer.

“He [Tsunoda] needs to take action himself,” Honda Racing Corporation president Koji Watanabe said in an interview with Japanese Motorsport.com. “I want him to make the best choices for himself.

“He’s now in his fifth year, has the ability, and understands the world of F1 well.

“There’s not much more we can do for him. He needs to solidify his support team, including his manager, and secure the necessary seat. He is a professional, after all.

“Drivers can’t rely on Honda forever. Someone of Tsunoda’s career level needs to think for himself.”

If this doesn’t sound unequivocal enough, Watanabe had already made Honda’s point clear in an earlier press conference: “Tsunoda has a sponsorship agreement with us. He is fundamentally an independent driver, but we support him as a sponsor.”

Red Bull's new engine partner is Ford, and they will be competing with RBPT-Ford engines from next season. Honda only have to make engines available for limited testing session using older chassis. Ferrari will have to do the same for Audi (but they are not happy about it) and Mercedes will have to make engines available for Aston Martin.

The president of HRC has already said they are not going to carry him in F1 any longer. See the quote I posted in my previous comment. They gave Ayumu Iwasa the same message as well. The Honda pipeline in F1 is effectively being choked/cutoff.

IndyCar could be a potential landing spot as well as endurance racing. Honda competes in the American IMSA Sportscar Championship under their Acura brand and there is talk of moving into WEC/Le Mans in the near future. Honda has restructured its global motorsport operations, merging its Japanese-based HRC and US -based Honda Performance Development divisions and this has been seen as the catalyst for Honda broadening its motorsport operations, entering WEC alongside F1.
