I see a big controversy looming on Sunday, again involving Max. Somehow I see him and Lando coming together. Norris panics under pressure and will probably do something stupid. Piastri for the win.

Norris doesn't have to win the race, the other two pretty much have to.

No doubt he will be dealing with some pressure, but he isn't the one that has to go all out.

As long as he is on the podium he'll be sorted, and that McLaren is fast enough to safely be on the podium.

EDIT: His pressure will peak during quali, where he will want a tidy session and be on the front two rows.

To be fair, they had been in terminal decline before she took the helm, and the early seasons under here were some of their best since the early 00s.

They made poor technical decisions, but Williams also found itself out of place as F1 evolved around the A and B team model. After BMW exited, their spiral began as a customer team. Then when the concept of A and B teams came along (Force India, Haas and Toro Rosso were built around this), they continued to go it alone.

Even though now owned by an investment group, they are as close as you can get to a true privateer team in F1.

This ^

The need and desire to remain independent led them to making more mistakes (technically and driver related) and with little money coming in they became THE paid driver team. James and Dorilton have charted a stable resurgence - hopefully they can keep it going in the new regulation era

I like Hadjar, hopefully the new regulation car is more forgiving to the 2nd driver
Yeah dunno. He is a very emotional driver. He will struggle with the pressure of being max's sidekick. He has been the dominant driver thus far in his team and this will change now.

Stress and pressure can fk you royally.

Time will tell

You've got to feel sorry for Issac

Piastri is a long shot even with a win unless Norris has a disastrous weekend.

Honestly , If Lando or Oscar wins I wont be upset, but I would prefer if Max wins this years championship.

it would be his 5'th title, 3 more closer to being his 8'th.

Then we can stop hearing about sir lulu the 7 time (fastest car.. Volttari it's James..)world champion.

@Dave , you may reply with a rent free pic.

Lando or Max, the cocky Aussie no.

I want Max to win to achieve the greatest comeback in history.

If not, then Oscar FTW, because it's been 5 years since we last tasted British tears at Abu Dhabi......

I'll gladly put my head on a block to say that Isak has driver #1 potential if they can give him the car.

I really rate him. He has shown this year that he is very fast. Hopefully he can find his feet quickly and maximize the RB within the first few races. I think what helps him is the fact that everything changes, so if RB is not doing well due to performance issues, less likely they will target him.

More likely scenario is that Max leaves in 2027 should the RB be a potato next year which will give the young guys chance to cement a long term seat.
