I like Mark Webber but I question what he’s putting in Oscar’s head. Im not convinced he’s approaching things the right way in the current drivers market. Oscar has WC written all over him and his performance shows. If Macca do well next year you can bet Oscar will be a contender for WC.
If anything I'd expect MW to be ensuring that Oscar doesn't end up "competing for the WC" but ultimately only supported if LN is screwing it up for himself. My view is that Piastri is a solid #1 driver in any team.

Mclaren would be crazy to. On the flip side Oscar would be insane to stay if he doesn't have the full support of the team.

Two strong drivers in a top team is generally not sustainable. We have seen it across the era's with Prost and Senna, Hamilton and Rossberg, Hamilton and Alonso..

It is bound to happen, just depends if a top team seat opens up next year (Alonso, Hamilton)

"🔴 SECTOR 1. The lap opens with a test of front support and stability. The telemetry shows a massive 82.1% of this sector is spent at full throttle, blasting through the Fast corner sequence (T1-T4) that defines the flow. Precise direction change on turn-in is vital before the hard braking into T5.

🔵 SECTOR 2. This is where the race is defined by pure efficiency. Dominated by the two long straights, the throttle stays pinned for 66.7% of the sector.
High-speed braking stability is non-negotiable into the heavy braking zones (12.4% of the sector) of the double DRS sections.

🟡 SECTOR 3. The complex Hotel Section is where the title is won or lost. It demands combined traction and tyre thermal discipline through a sequence of Slow and Medium corners (T12-T16).
Data says sector 3 has the highest cornering time of the lap (33.5%).

🧠 Strategy. This rear-limited track dictates a Medium-to-Hard one-stop. Rear stability on the Mediums survives the opening, while thermal care on the Hards decides the finish. Track position into S3 is everything for defense...."

Whole bunch of rookies in FP1 today.

Arvid Linblad in for Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull)
Ayumu Iwasa in for Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls)
Arthur le Clerc in for Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari)
Cian Shields in for Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin)
Jak Crawford in for Lance Stroll (Aston Martin)
Paul Aaron in for Pierre Gasly (Alpine)
Ryo Hirakawa in for Esteban Ocon (Haas)
Luke Browning in for Alex Albon (Williams)
Pato O'Ward in for Oscar Piastri (McLaren)

I reckon Lando will get pole and lead from start to end, and that will be that. Mclaren still have the fastest car and generally his form has been pretty good of late.

Only problem is other than last year Max has won on that track the 4 years prior to that.

VER for the win, NOR P2/P3

I am so torn on this front.

I really want Piastri to win it but it seems less and less likely and then at the same time I want Max to take it just for coming up as the under dog.

My money is on the two McLarens damaging each other and Max sailing past to win it.
