F1 2026

Someone should tell F1 expert that the ground effect cars made a lot of spray and racing in the wet almost impossible, but that era is gone and now driving in the wet is on again. Except if their is too much standing water on the track.

Someone should tell F1 expert that the ground effect cars made a lot of spray and racing in the wet almost impossible, but that era is gone and now driving in the wet is on again. Except if their is too much standing water on the track.
And yet they're having a much harder time these days. They can't even get to the grid sometimes.

The issue as I see it is that for so long, Racing Bulls (either as Torro Rosso or Alpha Tauri), while still a sister team to Red Bull, were fighting as a fully fledged, 'independent' F1 team and not as a feeder to the main Red Bull stable. This, according to Dr Marko, has changed from the start of this year. The plan to revert then back to being a feeder team and expose Red Bull juniors to life in F1 is bad news for someone like Liam Lawson who hs spent several seasons in F1 now and is no longer considered a junior driver. And with other teams having their own feeder teams and academies with loads of quality to choose from, a seat for Lawson at another team is not a given, just because he has expierience.

If Racing Bulls sticks to this mantra, then Lawson could find himself on the chopping block to make way for Tsolov. If not next year, then probably for 2028. After that, it stands to reason then that Lindblad would then be then next in the firing line.

It is a brutal way of conducting business. With Verstappen not going anywhere and Hadjar finding his feet, times appear to be tough for Red Bull juniors.

It has always been tough being a Red Bull junior.

Sure, a lot of them got a chance at F1 (and racing in general as Red Bull's web is vast) thanks to Red Bull, but a lot of them have also been ruthlessly disposed of.
