F1 2026

That’s why we have f2 and f3.
True, but do you really every see another top team taking on either ham or slow? Ferrari is Lewis's last chance. After this he needs to go into retirement. And I say this as a person that supports him. Kimi is now the future of the sport. Anyway, just some inconsequential musings.

I prefer having the best drivers in the best seats possible and age only being a thing if you're there just for the sake of being there. There are less deserving on the grid of all ages - sort that out then worry about the dinosaurs.

Hamilton is still in the fight yes, sort of.

But in my opinion the second he falls behind his younger team mates by a big-ish margin he should go. Alonso should have been gone a long time ago already.

Maybe the requirement should be top 6.
Alonso is always ahead of his younger teammate 😅

Was a difficult race to watch. Struggled to stay awake. Although the last bit of the race woke me up proper again.
I found it a bit boring before the pit stops. Only small amount of action on Lap 1 then pretty much nothing lap after lap. Only right at the end when some pitted and others didn't did it get really interesting again.

Halfway through this race I was thinking "Why do I even bother with F1?" which is never a good sign.

Compared to a series like GT World Challenge where there is always something going on, this was a bit too boring at times.

This is F1, performance is what matter. Why retire a faster driver just because he's older? Younger drivers are cheaper, but are likely to crash more. Just make sure your succession plan is in place and that your 2 drivers don't retire at the same time.

But in that situation we know his younger team mate is there because of daddys money.

Bearman has been great, he has done better then his older more experience team mate.

Lewis has done well against his younger team mate, but Le Clerc has come into serious form last few races.

Kimi, nothing more to say

Tough place for Russell. Staying at Merc gives him a great chance of driving the best car on the grid, but it also gives everyone the chance to judge him against Kimi. Being so far behind Kimi must surely be damaging his reputation.
