Eish… Charles is not a big picture guy. McLaren really disappointing with the stops.
Pity they let Kimi through, he should have had to fight for that place. Would have been a fair fight, which he eventually would have won. But letting him through wont have any bearing on catching Norris. Too late

Lap 26 he was over 7s behind and was within a second in about 15 laps, so yes he lost time behind Charles but the differential wasn’t enough to overtake on that circuit. He would likely have been ahead of George if he hadn’t been held up.What a joke. He did not loose time as he was not even within 0.5s of his teammate. But lets say he did loose time. He still would have been 15s + behind Russell without the luck of safety car. And 5s + with the safety car. He could not pass Russell. End of story. Other drivers passed the whole race when they had newer tires. Hamilton could not. Now he want to look for excuses for that. Trying to cover up.

So he was catching him by 0.5s a lap and was behind him for 1 and half lap. So that is around 0.75s. Now that fact that he was not even up on Charles back means if he let him through that 0.75 would be nullified.Lap 26 he was over 7s behind and was within a second in about 15 laps, so yes he lost time behind Charles but the differential wasn’t enough to overtake on that circuit. He would likely have been ahead of George if he hadn’t been held up.
That's like saying we know Max would not be able to pass George if he didn't crash. But just to entertain you. Lets say he lost 2s behind Charles. How would that make him come out ahead of George after the pit?
He still would have had to pass him and we now know he could not pass him.
Everything you say is just vague, no facts. That's like saying we know Max would not be able to pass Max.
In Max's words "if my mom had balls, she'd be my dad"
I said "If Lewis had another lap, he would have likely passed George". That's not the same thing. Bold bit for your edification.
FTFYEverything you say is just opinion, no facts.
You think he should be able to pass on every lap? You think spending some laps behind another car is an indication you can't pass?He could not pass him on plenty laps he had. His old softs were just getting older.
Because he was close. So why would he have likely passed George on another lap?
Sounds to me like you're looking for excuses to talk about Hamilton again. You are looking for excuses just like Hamilton for why he was unable to pass a slower car.
Imagine if Max didn't crash out and Lawson being caught by Max, RB instructing Lawson to pit and Lawson refusing. You'd be losing your mindPigeon chess.
That pass into the effective lead warrants him to be DOTD.
Agree, he squeezed the last drop from that car. That pass into the effective lead warrants him to be DOTD.
I'm not a Norris fan, but this is well deserved.
