F1 2026

Funniest thing was the British commentators before the race claiming Ferrari should think about the championship. LOL Hamilton won 1 race in two years. That win was with the help of a safety car.
But now he is going to win the championship. LOL
He cant even out qualify his teammate.
Then his teammate has a much better start than him, but Hamilton decides to divebomb his own teammate in a chicane that everyone know only one car at a time can go through.
Then the genius complain he was pushed off. LOL he should have experience of going through that corner with another car.

Alonso was right

I doubt that is the reason.

George is a Karen complaining about everything. This started long before this year. Very few fans like him. He dug his own grave. Just think about all his drama radio messages the last few years, complaining about other drivers and trying to get them penalties.

Oh and Kimi started at the back and caught and passed George long before he got the cheap pit stop.

They all complain. Singling one driver out when every single one of them bitches is silly.

I know Kimi caught him. That does not change anything I said about George's race. He was perfect on both starts and didn't make any mistakes. When on evenly matched tyres they were yo-yoing, so Kimi couldn't get away from him either. Kimi is the one that actually made a mistake by taking a trip through the gravel. You cannot fault George's race.

There is also no arguing that Kimi benefitted from that free pit stop. It was pretty obvious that George was screwed when Kimi got fresh tyres. As stated, not a single driver in George's position would have held Kimi off. Not Lando, not Max, not Lewis. And we saw this, as he passed them all easily, so George's only hope was for ''faster'' drivers to hold Kimi up and neither of them could. They were all sitting ducks and it isn't an indictment of their abilities as drivers.

Everything else I said about how Merc has handled him this year is accurate as well. His car has been plagued by technical issues, specifically around deployment, and every time George brought it up Toto chucked him under the bus, until they finally said ''Yes, something is wrong and we need to fix it''. Listen to the pre-start radio communication at Spa. George done everything his engineer told him to do and even confirmed full deployment. After turn 1 he was down 30-40% on deployment and was completely screwed before he even made it to the Kemmel Straight. He didn't even blame Lewis for the collision, pointing out that if his car hadn't been a lame duck he would not have been in that position. And what was the first thing Toto said? George must drive better. It is obvious that Merc settled on their priority driver long ago

Can't help but think that the red flag also helped Kimi. We'll never know if he would have had the pace to catch George had the race run uninterrupted for 53 laps and Kimi had had to fight his way through the field for all of them. With degradation between the mediums and hard being negligible, he was able to get off those hards early doors and onto the faster medium which allowed him to slice through the field faster.

Firstly to say Kimi made a mistake through the gravel is a bit far fetched. He hit that part of the corner that many drivers reported the road surface breaking up. Yes he maybe did not need to go for it on that corner, but going of into the gravel was not entirely his fault.
And I think you mistakenly think people booed George because of something he did in this race. Like I have said it has build up over the years. You can see it in races he has won but people mostly don't vote him as driver of the day.
His "suggesting" that his car is being sabotaged and thats why Kimi is beating him, is probably one of the main reasons the Italian crowd booed him.

The Tifosi often boo anyone who isn't Italian or driving for Ferrari.

Yes, this should be his move. Antonelli is set to be the next Senna and will always be overshadowing him. The mindgame this will become his downfall. Even yesterday, you could see it was becoming dangerous.
Very keen to see how Kimi's career unfolds - Senna? Perhaps. The rookies are an interesting bunch that might deliver given a decent seat. Some great years ahead I hope. Russell basically needs to decide if he wants to race in a Mercedes or not. I'm guessing Antonelli will be the long play and the next driver will be another rookie.

Fred needs to sort out that fckng frog.
Charles has had his moments but I've always thought he was one of the more respectful of space than other F1 drivers. Ferrari's pit wall needs to be improved to the extent that they can give an order and both drivers don't question it. If you're called in, you're called in. If the strategy is crap then debate it after and make sure it doesn't happen again.

I want to see Max and Kimi in equal cars battling on track. So far they haven't shared the same piece of the racetrack in equal machinery a lot.

I mean, in the absence of contact or technical issues, running off track is a driver error. Whether you hit the marbles or crumbling surface, putting your car out there is a mistake.

I don't recall George claiming sabotage. He had however been reporting persistent technical issues from the start of the season, and voiced frustration and confusion at it not being addressed and how he kept being plagued by them while Kimi was not.

The response to this from Merc, and primarily Toto, was to question his ability as a driver and obviously this would not have sat well with him. Merc finally acknowledging an issue would have been an ''I told you'' moment and would have validated his feeling of unequal treatment from the team.

His interview prior to the Hungarian GP sums things up.

"The whole team is standing by me and vice versa," he added. "I felt quite vocal about this issue pre-Spa and during Spa and ultimately we have achieved what we wanted to in the sense of finding there was an issue."

EDIT: Anyway. The deficit is probably too great now and Kimi should have this.

If you plant your car in the middle of the track and leave space to your right while heading down to Rettifilo, another car is going to fill that space and try and outbrake you whether it's your team mate or not. No space on the exit was on Charles, even if the entry was borderline and alongside.

As for the funniest thing it's simply math - if there's a greater chance you back the greater chance and you make damn sure that if one car is fighting another team for position you ensure your own car behind waits for that fight to complete before racing each other again.

You see you have no clue.
Its the start of the race, you want to hit that chicane perfect so you have good exit speed to challenge the cars ahead of you. No proper driver will expect a teammate to come make a ridiculous dive there so both cars gets compromised.
Then secondly. Once you are now compromised going wide on the outside then its impossible to make the next corner and leave space as your angle going into that next corner makes it then almost an hairpin.
Al this just because you idiot teammate only know how to race in the front.

1. No proper driver would leave the gap regardless.
2. Driver ahead on the outside must be left room by the driver on the inside.

Al this just because you idiot teammate only know how to race in the front.
As you wish...

The first paragraph — “you want to hit that chicane perfect so you have good exit speed” — is perfectly sensible racecraft, but legally/sportingly it means almost nothing. A driver does not acquire the right to the optimum racing line because taking another line will hurt his exit speed. Once another car legitimately establishes an overlap and earns priority, the fact that accommodating it compromises your exit is simply part of racing.

The crucial question is whether the teammate's alleged “dive” was actually a legitimate inside overtake. Under the 2026 guidelines, an inside attacker is entitled to room only if all of these are satisfied: its front axle is at least alongside the other car's mirror before and at the apex; it is fully controlled and has not “dived in”; and it has taken a reasonable line that allows it to complete the move within track limits. The FIA literally uses the words “not have ‘dived in’.”

So this part:

“No proper driver will expect a teammate to come make a ridiculous dive there”

isn't a rules argument, but if the move genuinely was a late dive that failed those criteria, there is a strong rules-based argument against the overtaking driver. If, however, the attacker had the required overlap before the apex, remained controlled and could make the corner, calling it a “ridiculous dive” doesn't change anything. And there is no special FIA rule giving teammates less entitlement to attack one another.

The second paragraph is where the claim becomes much weaker:

“Once you are now compromised going wide on the outside then its impossible to make the next corner and leave space…”
For a chicane or S-bend, the FIA expressly deals with this situation. The inside/outside criteria can apply to each element of the sequence. The guidelines say that priority will generally be given to the first corner element, but the stewards must consider the entire sequence holistically. They specifically examine how the cars arrived there, whether the move was late or optimistic, what each driver could reasonably anticipate, whether it could be completed on track, understeer/locking, collision avoidance, and whether either driver's positioning contributed to what followed.

That means “my angle made it impossible to leave space at the second part” is not an automatic defence. It may be highly relevant, but the stewards ask why the car ended up with that angle.

There are basically two very different cases:

Attacker makes an illegitimate late dive into part one. The outside driver is forced onto an abnormal line and physically cannot negotiate part two normally. That sequence can weigh heavily against the attacker. The FIA expressly tells stewards to consider late braking, diving in, whether the manoeuvre was optimistic, and how the corner sequence caused the incident. In that case, saying “look at the second corner in isolation” would indeed be wrong.

Attacker legitimately establishes priority into part one. Now the defender cannot simply insist on the normal racing line because anything else compromises his exit. The FIA's opening principle is explicit: once the overtaking driver has established priority, the defending driver bears responsibility for avoiding a collision or forcing the overtaker off. The document also stresses that a car alongside cannot simply “disappear.”

And the actual Sporting Regulations reinforce that this is fundamentally about blame, not optimal racing lines: stewards penalise an incident when a driver is found wholly or predominantly to blame. Drivers must also make every reasonable effort to remain on track and cannot rejoin unsafely or gain a lasting advantage.

The FIA's 2026 penalty guidance also specifically lists causing a collision and forcing another driver off the track as punishable offences, normally with a 10-second baseline in a race, reducible to five seconds where there are mitigating circumstances.

How was it a ''ridiculous dive''?

He was pulling alongside well before the corner, and Charles had a ton of space to move into on his left.

By the time they reached the corner, Hamilton essentially had the apex.

1788787575292.png

Lewis even gave him space to make turn two, something Charles didn't afford him on exit. And if you claim Charles had the corner below and Lewis should have backed out, well then Charles should have backed out on entry to the chicane because Lewis had the corner.
