  • There is La Monumental, plus the Turn 17 right-hander, where drivers have to brake heavily while navigating a quick left sweep beforehand, is going to be quite a handful.
  • But based on evidence from F3 testing, and proven by the tyre marks still left on the track, it is the Turn 5/6 chicane that could be the main trouble point.
  • Coming at the end of the quickest point of the track – the long sweeping section from Turn 3 – drivers have to negotiate a quite tricky chicane.
  • The kerbs will require treating with caution, but it is the angle of the barrier on the exit – which offers a pinch point – that could well be what catches a lot of people out.

Carlos Sainz has been handed a grid penalty (three-grid place) for the Spanish Grand Prix after a Qualifying infringement.

The Williams driver was found to have impeded Valtteri Bottas' Cadillac during Saturday's Qualifying session through Turn 7 in the final minutes of Q1.

Lap 6 - the F1TV crew completely ignoring Antonelli going off track while they discuss Hamilton's brakes. There was a good shot behind Norris but they're hyper focussing on one aspect and ignoring the race.

Le Clerc and Russel could be in a good position on hards at this point with no sign of a SC.
Delta is way way too low for significant overtaking on this track.

This track is meh. May as well be a street race through Madrid. Maybe throw some bulls in for fun.

Yoh. That's a bos by Norris / Macca. What.
He's going to kick himself. If that was a team call, he should have said no. Shame. He was clearly the fastest on track.

That VSC timing was suspect. It came out the moment Norris passed the pit entry and ended just before he got back to it. Talk about bad luck.
 
Le Clerc finding time on track and Antonelli losing time. I missed the right-front tyre issue with Norris. Was it difficulty getting the tyre off?
 
George Russell with the overtake of the day so far on Lawson. Given how old Lawson's tyres were, that's not saying much. Nah, theis track was a waste of money lol.
