Another Merc out front race. Quite boring.
Just because the Merc won (especially as it wasn’t supposed to be a track for them) doesn’t make it boring, the race was anything but boring...

Have to lay the first lap incident at the feet of Vettel I reckon. Yeah, he didn't know that Raikkonen had made such an electrifying start and so didn't think that squeezing Max would have such adverse consequences. Still, I can't see it being deemed anything more than a racing incident really...
I bet R5 that Ferrari would retire from this race first, won R61.

^^All of ours were. Max in the wet would've been a sight to behold. That being said, the Mercs were uncharacteristically quick and it would have been a great scrap!
I actually said at the start that I wanted a nice boring race with vettel waltzing off into the distance and if max drove into him again I'd be furious...

I don't remember having a wet night race in F1. In MotoGP they wait for the rain to stop and the track to dry out a bit if it's a night race.Lekker fark up at the beginning, felt sorry for Max.
Lewis got lucky.
Don't think anyone considered a wet night race.
Hamilton's constant whinging about the safety car is getting long in the tooth now. Race control know what they're doing and he should let them get on with it. There was no way they were recovering the stricken Sauber under VSC so the SC was right call.
Aston Martin considering a return to F1 next year as engine supplier. McLaren perhaps?

McLaren are set on Renault for now. AM said they would be a title sponsor for Redbull but if they do start to build engines, it most probably only be in 2020 and jump in with Porches as there's no point spending all that R&D just for engine regulations to change 2 years later.Aston Martin considering a return to F1 next year as engine supplier.
