Not much is happening, looks like those that are out are on long runs.
any excitement is not going to happen till later so I will probably miss it.

John started over 100 grands prix (111 to be precise) and won six of them.
He drove for Ferrari, Cooper and Honda among others, and started his own eponymous team as well.
Prior to Surtees' 1964 F1 success with Ferrari, Big John won four world titles in motorcycling's 500cc class (that era's MotoGP, if you're not a bike fan). He is the only person to have won the world title on two and four wheels.
A statement from the Surtees family has confirmed the 83-year-old "passed away peacefully this afternoon" and "his wife, Jane and daughters, Leonora and Edwina were by his side".
"We deeply mourn the loss of such an incredible, kind and loving man as well as celebrate his amazing life. He has set a very real example of someone who kept pushing himself at his peak and one who continued fighting until the very end."
John Surtees CBE, the 1964 Formula 1 world champion, has passed away. Our thoughts go to Big John's family. He's a true legend.

^^looking at his age - that era produced loads of character. Hard to be a kid during a war like that. Made you as tough as nails or broke you.

That was an eye opener. Without sounding too pessimistic, it doesn't bode well for highlighting racing skills. It looks like pedal to the metal for 80% of the lap. So much mechanical grip with those wider / bigger tyres... no doubt enhanced by the downforce.

I don't have much hope for any improvement in overtaking either. More aero downforce = more dirty air being thrown in to the face of the trailing car.

Force India’s 2017 challenger – the VJM10 – has undergone a huge makeover after announcing a new long-term sponsorship deal.
Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez will now be racing in a pink, magenta and silver car to mark an agreement made with water technology specialists BWT.
“The arrival of BWT in Formula One is huge news and represents one of the most significant partnerships in our ten year history,” said co-owner Vijay Mallya.
“It’s a sign of how far we have come as a team with our strong results and completes a solid commercial performance over the winter.”
“For 2017 our cars will sport a vibrant new colour scheme with a smart matte finish.
“Changing the colour of our cars is an indication of the strength of this new partnership and a real statement of intent from BWT as they begin their relationship with the sport of Formula One.”
