I'm surprised they aren't working on some form of racing, but I don't think that's his game and I don't think they have free resources to apply to something like that.
 
So much of early. I need to find somewhere that will be open that time so I can watch it.

Any suggestions in the Fourways area?

The race itself, minus the build up, is 9:00.
Replay of race at 12:15, but that is on SKY UK (If you have a stream) not sure about DSTV repeat coverage.

Are you sure?

The start times for this year's 20 Formula 1 races have been confirmed.

2017's Melbourne curtain-raiser is a week later than last year and takes place on Sunday, March 26 - the day the clocks go forward in the UK for British Summer Time.

That means that 2016's UK start time of 5am becomes 6am for 2017. The Australian GP is live only on Sky F1 in the UK and Ireland.

The second race in China starts at 7am BST.

British Summer Time is only 1 hour behind SA time.
 
I think Sky got it wrong, to the best of my knowledge UK switched to DST 2 weeks ago on the Morning of the Australian GP.

Daylight saving time 2017 in United Kingdom began at 01:00 on
Sunday, 26 March
and ends at 02:00 on
Sunday, 29 October
All times are in United Kingdom Time.

EDIT:
I see your quote was for Melbourne, I thought it was Cina hence my correction, but the 9:00am start still stands according to F1.com
