F1: Number 2's pip Team no 1's

What an awesome performance by Lewis Hamilton.

Will somebody please remind me why Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen are paid more than their "junior" counterparts? It's rather obvious that they are being pipped pretty convincingly by Hamilton and Massa.
 
Yep, good performance... I guess it comes with "experience" - it does pan out at the end of the day, I bet both are being paid more than Coulthard for e.g. (I stand to be corrected). But Hamilton raced like an ace. Hope he manages to keep humble, though how, I have no idea.

Exact figures aren't released, but the top earners (apparently) sees the following:

1. Alonso
2. Raikkonen
3. Takumo Sato (why????)
4. Massa
5. Coulthard
6. R. Schumacher
7. Hamilton (though I'm pretty sure he'd be getting increasingly better paychecks)

Some people seem to rumour R. Schumacher to be earning around what Alonso is earning, while others say that Kimi is the highest paid driver.

Anyway, it's not really about the money, but more the fact that the number 2's in the teams are kicking the "senior" drivers' asses.

alonso 2 times world champion, i wonder why he gets paid more

its already gone to his head

did you see where he tuned the monkey's must move out of his way faster

hamilton better not let things get to his head, he start his f1 carreer in the best formula1 car

senna and shummi drove crap cars into good positions, they did not have it on a platter and did not start at the top

alonso is not on his game if you ask me and i think he would own hamilton if he was

raaikonen is in a car thats not performing, the reason massa beat him was because he chose the wrong tyre's to being with

hamilton did drive well though but i dont think he has proven anything other than he can race well in the best f1 car

so i would not compare hamilton to any of the greats because he has proven nothing if you ask me

Raikonen must get fired!! Even at Mclaren he broke the cars. He is one of those that only that know of flat out nothing in between, he can't nurse a car. This is not the ingredients of a good racer. A good racer must know when to go flat-out and when to look after your car.

Thats also a reason why Schumi and Alonso are better in giving feedback to the mechanics if something on the car is nt working, because they are qualified mechanics themselfs.

Anyway I still think fire Kimi!!

Hamilton was referring to the race spoilers - those who just drive like monkeys and don't know how to even drive like a lapped backmarker, there are a few out there.

Actually Hamilton has got into an F1 car and been on the podium every race in his first season. Best car or no, he has proven something. Of course he has beaten a two time world champion WHO BEAT M$ in his red pony TWO YEARS RUNNING before M$ decided it was time to throw the towel in... and he has done it in the VERY same car...

im not saying he is not a great driver, all im saying is his f1 career has been the best car since day one, he has not had to fight like some of the greats

dont for one second think alonso wont be back to teach him a thing or 2 about staying at the top

shummi was 38 broke almost every record 7 times world champion, i dont think saying he threw in the towel is right

there is a long way to go in the F1 season will be interesting to see how hamilton will handle the pressure for the rest of the season

im not going to judge him yet because as i said he is racing with the best f1 car, i just hope alonso BRINGS IT

Ahh no, now memories of that horrid movie come flashing back to my mind, you know I'll never forgive my girlfriend we go watch it.:mad:

Anyway, back to LH, it seems the media attention in the UK is getting a bit too much for Ron Dennis's liking. He wants him to move:eek:

But I guess with the track record of the British media, it is understandable why.

Alonso has to be the worst kind of driver, the extremely arrogant kind! Every time he messes up he starts blaming some one else, last year it was his team sabotaging his race because he was switching to mclaren, this year he is whining that mclaren is favouring hamilton because he is a brit. Seriously I hope this guy gets whipped by hamilton...and massa too if the Ferrari's regain their pace!!

The best car was what Schummi almost always raced not so?
What about Alonso while two times champ?
 
yea ive not said alonso is not good, alonso is awesome

all i have said is hamilton has done nothing really amazing in F1 yet except win and finish every race on the podium with the best car

You forgot the getting ahead of the current world champ in his debut? :D

debut = first time to race an F1 car?
You're forgetting there are records there that Schumi can't touch.
