Well I have to disagree with him overall, but I guess it is one of those games that's easy to hate if you want to. Imagine if Yatzee did the Sims? Or wait till he does little big planet ...

I must say that i agree with doobi's post some pages back about Fable 2 not feeling like an RPG. And i think that's why a lot of people who expected a "hardcore, deep RPG experience"will hate on it. Personally after playing the game for some time and mucking about in the world i'd have to agree on some points, and that's also why i'm selling my cpoy. I got really irritated with the micro-management side of it. While it's mostly inconsequential, it really doesn't add much (apart from annoyance) to the game. To me it's like an action game with some stats thrown in and a bit of sim-management as an aside. Still not a bad game, but i'm enjoying Fallout 3 a lot more. (And LBP ;))

I managed to kill my last gargoyle last night :) Awesome reward (which i wont spoil). 6 Keys to go ;)

I hate these kind of quests...they dont actually do anything but fill gaps...

Agreed. I don't mind if theres progressive rewards, but spending hours hunting just 1 thing, like the 200 pidgeons in GTA4, is just a waste of time.

the collectibles in BioShock and Gears are nice because they fill in the story. Gears also gives you progress achievements.

That's maybe one thing I don't like about achievements - Like in Fable they are a reward, but not consequential in game. Like starting a party is all well and good, but doesn't drive anything in the game. My thing with Fable is that the bits are all there they just need to tie them together, which is What I hope they do with the DLC.

I havent actually played it since I finished it...been online giving random stuff to random orbs floating around. :D
I do feel though that the orbs in game gives a great sense of community and belonging.
I think that more games should actually use it.

Heh, noticing I missed you by 5min (logged off LIVE for food), i spent the next 45min in Bowerstone listening to europeans frantically trading dolls :D

what a waste getting 51 silver keys. that 50 key silver chest is such a huge anti-climax.

I'm thinking Fable 2 as whole is a bit of an anti-climax. ;)
Peter Molyneaux should learn to shup up about his games - none of the Lionhead titles can live up to the hype he almost single-handedly creates.
