Face mask, where can I get one from?

Where can I find a face mask? One of those masks worn by doctors. I need to get one urgently for my dad.

Go to a hardware store, people that use grinders use them to protect from the dust.

The hardware store type are called respirators, and prevent the user inhaling hazardous particles and vapours. The medical type prevent the user from coughing and sneezing onto others. Very different uses. North Safety makes a nice silicone two filter respirator shaped for "European facial features", but you'll have to wait until Monday, if that's the type you're looking for. They also do a wide range of filters, depending on what hazard you need to filter.

Hardware stores stock the ones with replaceable filters and the felt type with that metal nose bridge. I know, I bought a pack recently when I was cutting tiles. They are however not those funny baggy things like doctors wear but a formed cover for the mouth area.

I'm sure a respirator uses a 2 way filter system with valves which is not what I was referring to.

Just for interest sakes, doctors that cough and sneeze are not allowed anywhere near patients The mask is merely for germs leaving the wearers mouth. We all have them.
