After reporting problems to facebook about their
-friend list
-Messages

The problem is still there in IE7/OPERA/FIREFOX

To say that last year was the year of facebook...lol:rolleyes:

Since it revolves around facebook, does anyone know if its possible to remove your account? Doesn't seem to be a delete profile option and email responses are non-existant.

You can't remove your account, but it becomes almost invisible to other users, with just the name showing up in searches with everything 'unclickable'.

you can most definitely remove your account as 2 of my friends did this.

You can deactivate it but that's about it.

You can delete your account I have done it. You have to be sure you want it gone because it is a mission. You email and they will tell you its ok just deactivate it, but all your info sits on there servers. So you mail them and say no delete it please. They in turn say ok we can do that but first you need to uninstall every application you have loaded on your account and remove you friends list ( very painful, can only be done one at a time and its slow) then mail us and we will delete it.

Done no more facebook for you.

Gunny, that is rather retarded! Why on earth must we delete everything for them to delete our accounts. Is there any reasonable explanation?

Why cant you just edit your account, your name, email and everything then delete. Atleast they will have false info

Ye!!! How the hell!!? It works!!:D
Hehehehe.:p

:D :D :D i can only suspect that the main page of facebook has tags along the lines of social networking, but that link has no tags and its only purpose is to edit user information. unless anyone else can explain?

any one got a work around as to why you cant log into facebook book using IE on a WM6 device? iv heard IE does not want to accept the facebook cookies for some reason

i don't think it's the cookies, i think it's the security certificates that aren't signed or something.

 how? I don't get it...

lol the workaround was a purely a by-product of bwana's post. the link takes you directly to the page where you can disable your account, but all the other normal facebook links appear when you click on cancel. hence you can log onto facebook without getting blocked, as you would when you go to www.facebook.com. as i said in a previous post, i think the facebook.com main page has tags along the lines of social networking, whereas i think this link is nothing more than editing user information and shouldn't have any tags associated with it. i could be wrong.

It can be removed

It can be deleted. Log in, click on account tab, then under settings click deactivate.

Why would anyone want to use facebook? I don't want register just to see what's going on inside. Is it like ICQ?
