Facebook App for Blackberry

I downloaded the Facebook app a few weeks ago! It took me a while to even get to the link I could download from... Anyway, after all that pain this is the message: "You are currently on a service plan that does not support this application. If you want to use this application, please contact your service provider to upgrade your data plan."
I'm on Vodacom Top-up with a small data bundle. Surely, this app does NOT only work with certain contract packages. BTW, I really am not up to calling them only to find out they are clueless! With all due respect to some call center agents who are sometimes helpful.

At risk of sounding stupid... Not sure, will check... At least I can hide behind the fact that it's wifey's phone!

Must I have one of them loaded for the app to work? or both?

lol it is all good.... at least have bis loaded your wife will not use bes that is mainly used for corporates wykrywacz. just call vodacom and ask them to activate it. it costs an extra R60 a month

Facebook is a RIM developed app, those apps will only work with BIS/BES, there is unfortunately no way around that.

Sad, but its pointless owning a blackberry without BIS or BES.

I see no logic in purchasing a business/social handset without loading its most basic feature, its like buying a digital camera and using it as a paperweight.
