Hi,

I am looking at testing a Facebook Application (ASP.NET / C# through an iframe).

What is a good cheap hosting option (ie. R20 to R30 per month) that supports HTTPS [SSL i think] (Facebook requirement) and ASP.NET (I do not need SQL databases however this would be a bonus.)

Please only suggest if you are sure they're 100% compatible with Facebook app hosting.

Regards

Not necessarily.
Some providers may have newer .NET frameworks supported.
Some providers do not have https:// access to each file or page ie. https://www.domain.com/image.jpg, Facebook and Browsers are picky about secure and insecure content on the same page, so if a user users fb.com in HTTPS, and your app is not secure then they cannot use your app.

That has absolutely nothing to do with "facebook app hosting". It just means the host needs to be able to give you SSL certificate, which most can, and what does it matter WHAT .NET Framework they support or not? Just get one that supports the one you coded in?

Again

a facebook "app" has no idea if it is asp, php, java, ruby. it's all html, css, javascript.

ssl certs are either wildcard or single domain, ie *.domain.com, or www.domain.com. again, it doesnt care what the content/mimetype is. .jpg, is the same as .html, is the same as .php. the way you get insecure parts of a page, is when going to your page via SSL, but eg having a script (or css, or image) include for say jquery from the http CDN, instead of the https one.
