Facebook hit by massive hack - 50 million users affected

Nah, don't have to worry about my fake accounts.

This means that around 90 million accounts will be logged out of Facebook, and users will have to log back in
Or they could remain logged out, and there would be 90 million happier people in the world.

That reminds me... I haven't checked my FB account in many, many moons. I'd suppose I'd better do so sometime. To me, FB is something that I'm told that I must have but I'm still yet to discover any functional use for it.

So the view as function was giving out user tokens to anyone that asked. Further more it sounds like these tokens never expired?

Looking for trouble, someone must have raised this as a concern at facebook and it was ignored.

Would it affect me if my account is deactivated?

Everytime we have an article about FB on MyBroadband, we have to wade through pages and pages of people telling us that they don't use FB. What are we supposed to do with that useless information?

I was asking a genuine question, my account is not deleted, it is just deactivated.

Would it affect me if my account is deactivated?

Depends on the criteria on issuing the tokens and their systems.

Our systems not allow issuing of tokens for disabled accounts (not even impersonation by admin)... but who knows what facebook does with their account management.
