As Facebook will still be Facebook.

Yeah, I don't know why this name change is even news. Nothing will change for fb users. Facebook is to meta what Google is to Alphabet.

From a Tech point and the war on Facebook apparently it matters. "Meta" makes it look like Zuckerberg is not the god of social media and doesn't control everything. Or something like that....

Yeah, sure. I guess.

The upshot will probably be that he somehow earns more money from this restructuring, whilst being able to avoid any negativity associated with fb. Lizard man is teflon.
