Facebook loading very, very slowly

It started yesterday afternoon - I don't know what has happened.

All other international websites work at the correct speed on my 4Mbps connection. It seems that it connects to www.facebook.com but becomes stuck when Firefox attempts to connect to "static.ak.fbcdn.net".

Is it possible anyone can help?

Works fine with me and IM using FF.

I also get that sometimes, mostly during the week days, i'm using opera though, so obviously don't get the static.ak.fbcdn.net.
I thought it was a saix problem though
