Hi

I am have a very annoying problem when access the iOS Facebook app in CISP. Loading of videos and photos are intermittent. Sometimes they won't load at all. Checked on multiple iOS devices. If I switch to 4G everything works perfectly.

Everything else works perfectly and Wi-Fi throughput is the same as my line speed.

Has anyone else had this? If not, I suspect it might be something with my Ubiquiti USG. Any ideas? Maybe enable MSS clamping?

Hi there, yes try set your MSS to disabled on your USG.

Wait you say it is disabled? Can you post a picture of that section of settings.

Yeah that's more than likely your issue, happened to most USGs

sometimes 1412 otherwise 1436 or 1452 is the max you can go to. They all seem to still make the issue. 1452 +48 for header blah blah completes the packet before someone says 1500

Also depends on which FNO PPP vs no PPP.

So I had set it to disabled and it was worse with some site not loading at all. Set it back to Auto and those sites work but still getting the issue with Facebook.

Will try different clamping values again.

It is only the video's and images in the Facebook app. I tried different DNS as well (was on 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8) and back to the CISP DNS server but made no difference. Not sure where the video's and images are hosted but I haven't seen anyone else complain so I assume it is only me.

Try set it to 1436, seems to help a bit for me but not there. Loads maybe 75% of the time. Disabled is terrible
