Big companies and marketing. It's a bit silly to have April Fools jokes on 1 April, because everyone is alert on that day. But a nice build up and then the ha-ha, is much better.

This article is way misleading. The use of book is only as a trademark. It's to stop some company forming a social network site like BookFace or Friendbook.
This has nothing to do with the actual word "book".

I use [email protected] as my email - eg, [email protected] - so as to know who is selling my address.

I originally signed up with a FB account a while ago, but I don't use it much. Last time I tried to change something, the tossers would not accept the [email protected] address that I originally signed up with. Had to change my email address.
