Hi Guys,

So my maintenance plan comes to an end later this year. The options I have is to get a factory one year extension, go with a third party (although I am not sure if they offer an unlimited option) or foot the bills myself going forward.

Has anyone tried these third party guys? Does it work?

Tried the third party option. Problems are they subject you to servicing the vehicle more often than manufacturers requirement. For mine it was every 10000km whereas manufacturer says every 15000km. These have to happen at an rmi approved mech. So your normal costs escalate.
Then when something breaks, you must go to an rmi approved mech for the repair and make sure you have submitted all previous service invoices again even though you sent them every time you completed a service. The mech then sends through a quote that exceeds the cover you have. Example: If cover is 5k then he quotes 8k.
After few days third party cover approves repair pays mech 5k less 1.25k admin fee. So 3.75k is payed to mech. You then left with 4.25k to settle with mech. All this after you realise you can buy the parts for 3k on your own and have one of these foreigner mechanics swap it for 600 bucks.
