So I'll start by saying that I have the Samsung S5 (G900H) and I recently got access to the official OTA upgrade to lollipop (5.0) and jumped at the chance to upgrade.

A few hours into using the newly updated version of my phone and I was wishing I had KitKat back. I decided to power through and see if the bugs would recorrect themselves, unfortunately, I had no such luck. The phone was laggy, often did not display characters that I was trying to type and it was just an overly frustrating experience trying to use the phone.

So I decided it was time to hit the factory reset button, so after about an hour of backing up everything like music, pictures, conversations etc. I reset it and wiped my phone clean and I must say it is the best thing I could have possibly done. Yes it was a slight hassle to restore everything and get everything back to how I like it but after I'd done all that the phone has never run better and I am really enjoying lollipop now.

So to everyone out there wondering if it's a good idea to reset their phone to the state it was in unboxing, I can safely say it is a great idea!

Yeah when doing a major update it is actually recommended!
