Failed pupils wreak havoc

Shyte excuse.
My parents also never thought me how to channel my frustration. But I knew I cannot burn the school because I did not pass. Learning is not the buildings responsibility, and if you at the age of 18 does not have any sense of responsibility jail is where you will end up regardless of your grades.

How do you equate yourself to these kids? I doubt very much you have anything in common, I doubt any of us here do.

Justification for this? I'm gobsmacked by the idiocy displayed, truly.

Good grief, for the third time now, its not a justification.

Brought up poor in the public schooling system. With teachers more off sick as at school.
That was my high school . So yes I do equate with these kids.

How many failures did you have in your year?

lol I knew my post would get flamed, rightfully so...but my point of view is playing the devils advocate so to say...putting on the same shoe size as the children who just 'failed'.

I don't like labels, when you label anyone, especially a young person as a failure, that sticks, how many of you here on these forums failed in HS and were held back? Did it feel good? No, you suddenly become a part of the out-group, your parents probably will call you 'stupid' correct? I mean, THINK ABOUT IT...think of how you feel when you are depressed. This is their feeling now. No hope...

So, with the way the economy is, if you can't even pass High-School what is your future like? At this point you get angry as a normal animal does and you react. Some kids fail school and turn into prostitution, some fail, and try again and pass, some fail and keep failing...

THE POINT IS...with the world already labeled as f'd up by these kids, on top of ALL this pressure and money and resources they put in to go to these schools, they are suddenly turned away. I mean, look, School is the only way out for most of these kids...so if that is taken away, WHAT ELSE can you do?

Go home and cry about it? That is what most people do but that doesn't change anything, these kids were at least smart enough to realize this. This affects a person's psychological state more than anything else. These kids care about their grades and they got all that anger boiled in...We don't know the whole story other than what these media zombies are reporting. I'd rather go interview the kids than interview any of the teachers etc.

At the end of the day, they are just animals[or souls/spirits] like you and me trying to make a living in world that is full of more road-blocks to peace but it is a clear road to war. F***.

...and think about this logic: It is easier for people in school to fail than it is for them pass. Think about that for a second...

I don't blame them...they worked hard and didn't pass these human labeled expectations, now their entire lives are shifted, confidence destroyed, humiliation installed...we are prideful creatures, failure does NOT make us happy.

What exactly do people expect? These kids might have taken it a bit over-board but to each his own...

or these kids can go back to school and fix what is wrong instead of burning the school and still ending up with no education. Nogals stupid.

30% for any 4 subjects? If you want to pass. No. It's easier to pass than to fail. If you want to.;)

yawn, I know of people who messed around in high school who failed and went back, sure for a year or two they might have been outcasts in fact in the old days it was worse as teachers had the right to call you stupid, but guess what they finished it and some even graduated......

yet it is easier to fail, however dit skei die koring van die kaf.

I decided:

I fail to care anymore. My charity work will now only reach the SPCA.

Rot in your ANC Rot. Yesterday you voted. Today you reap the rewards.

Hear hear!

Yes... hence the sarcasm.

Culture of entitlement is an concept mainly promulgated by conservatives and meant to encapsulate the social norm whereby a society comes to expect government entitlement programs to provide employment opportunities, health care, or general access to things that have come to be perceived by many others (such as progressives) as basic human rights.

I am here so that I can get distinctions; I am aiming for seven As.” Ziyanda said they had already started on the 2011 physical science syllabus and had homework to do.

Sarcasm is “a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter jibe or taunt.” [1] Though irony is usually the immediate context[2] most authorities sharply distinguish sarcasm from irony,[3] however others argue that sarcasm may or often does involve irony[4] or employs ambivalence.[5] Sarcasm has been identified as a possible bullying action.[6]

Oke if you say so.

I was referring to my comment not the article, hence the inverted commas. Sheesh, has puzah Thursday moved to Tuesday?

Ofcourse not, but you'll probably find these kids come from backgrounds where frustration has never been channelled correctly.

That has to be the stupidest excuse for this type of behavior I've ever heard. EVER.

EDIT: Btw, it didn't work as sarcasm either. Sorry.

I also want to join in with the flaming.

Naive.

Your home and hometown is critically important to your development. And your family can have a seriously adverse effect on your morals/values.

These students haven't learned how to control themselves, and having ignorant parents didn't help. Either they thought it was okay to burnt the principals office, or they were so angry they just didn't care. So either they didn't have proper self control, or they weren't taught the appropriate values/morals.
