Fake Rii keyboard?

I just received what was supposed to be a Rii i8+ mini keyboard from Takealot (one of the resellers).

Please take a look at these pics and tell me if you see a problem:

Now I'm unsure where to get a legitimate one.

I initially thought the the item was sold through a Takealot reseller/3rd party, but it seems it is actually Takealot themselves.
 
Or maybe the original just is crap? You get what you pay for?

Is there a real picture of an "original"?

From what I can tell the original should look like this. Pretty sure what I got is counterfeit.

Quite sure you got a marketplace item - that is a marketplace sticker and everything. I was a seller on takealot and had to print those stickers and place them on my products.

You are exactly right. The Rii's all come in very plain packaging, lol, I've had the mini i8 & now the Rk707 gamepad, both came in pretty much a plain box. Computermania stocks the genuine ones, that's where I got mine from.
 
Check your order/invoice - afaik it should name the marketplace seller (could be wrong). The seller should be lambasted for claiming his product is legit (by allocating it to the legit item and naming it as such).

Seems the seller is "Monthly Madness".
 
Also received one of those pieces of rubbish. I ended up buying a Microsoft "full size" kb with trackpad

What (one of) the supplier said about those images:

Supplier: Seems similar [the product, not the packaging]. Theres lots of companies doing these types of keyboards so it is possible that there might be copies out there. looking at our packaging, it seems ours was brown box
Me: I thought so yeah. Takealot 3rd part sellers are dodgy
Supplier: it might be knock off, but it could be similar quality. Difficult to say

It ain't an original Rii :(

I don't see any Rii's on their website either.
