Falcom GPRS modem

I use a falcom gprs modem utilising an MTN prepaid sim card, my problem is that I am unable to use MMS service/send photographs to other cell phone user whereas am able to send SMS, FAX, E-Mail and to brose the World Wide Web. Is there any one who may tell me what to do?

It might be that the modem does not have a built-in TCP/IP stack?

I remember with the Falcom C2D module I could perform high level with it via the PC, but only certain functions, like SMS, in standalone mode.

Go to Falcom's web site, or even better, call RFdesign in Midrand or Capetown (who supports Falcom in SA).

I am also using a Falcom modem( Samba 75). I have not tested MMS but all the other facilities work like a charm. Private message me your detail and we can do a test between us.

How much is that modem worth?

Use a MMS gateway server like www.redcoal.co.uk
Mtn/Vodacom should be able to help you with a SA gateway server.
GPRS email your Jpeg file to the gateway server which in turn converts it to
a MMS and sends it to your mobile.
Place a facial recognition camera/PC www.mini-itx.com combination in your vehicle Power the embedded PC from a DC-DC converter www.mini-box.com or www.short-circuit.com.
The moment anybody else but the driver is behind the wheel the person's
face is sent to the control station via GPRS. You will get a much better
response from Netstar/Tracker if you can prove to them that a car has been
hijacked.
