Fallout 4 trailer

FO3 really felt like they wanted to make it into a co-op but didn't feel the time was right. Elder Scrolls online came around so they'll probably do the same for FO once they've milked the single player modes to death.

I hope this is not true. I expected them to use an upgraded version of the engine used for Skyrim.

That's clearly the one they'll be using. Calling it the Creation engine was just a disingeneous way of getting away with calling it a new engine. Same ****, different name. Gamebryo has been holding their games back.

Slightly higher res textures and a few more lighting effects. That's it. Otherwise it's pretty much the same thing. Some of those scenes in the trailer looked pretty much identical to FO3.

GameBryo should have been taken out back and shot years ago.

I disagree.
To me it clearly looks different.
I spent enough time in the fallout series to feel this.

I don't care about the graphics, it is quite big news over the internetz as being discussed here.

It’s impossible to say without asking Bethesda, but just watching the trailer, I’d wager Fallout 4‘s still using Bethesda’s Creation engine (created for Skyrim), doubtless souped up, but still looking more like a tricked out, high-resolution version of Fallout 3 than a radical graphical leap (as you’d generally see when this much time’s passed between installments).

Many articles going about. All-in-all, all Fallout games was a wholly experience. Good simple story littered with Easter Eggs.

I'm not the graphics whore that I used to be. If a game looks even remotely good and plays well with as few bugs as possible, I'll consider the purchase, I will.

For me the graphics don't matter, I'm more after the game/story line than anything else.

Lol.

I've spent enough time with Bethesda games that I can recognise their engine. That's Fallout 3 with some doodads added in for good measure. Hell, in one scene there's a Mister Handy with godawful textures.

To everyone going on about the graphics, that's not really the issue. The issue is they're using an ancient engine that should have been put out to pasture years ago. It's pretty much a souped up version of the engine that ran Morrowind in 2002, so you can expect more ****ty shooting mechanics, horrible sneaking, etc.

They really need to start thinking about a new engine. I could still overlook this in 2011, but this engine is now ancient.
