False advertising from Vodacom

Some is taking vodacom on regarding the false ad on the iPhone 4s on the 15th Dec 2011
Kwa kwa kwa !!! Hey guys this is my first post on the site & the above post is the only reason i registered . First off vodacom are dumb as stones when it comes to CPA issues , im in the process of burning them myself for a similar issue. First off vodacom HAS to honour the agreement , if you advertise something for a certain price that is the PRICE. No ifs or buts about it. The CPA is clear on this issue. Ill post the link to the full CPA so you can check it out. Once you have read through it and have found where they have crossed the line call the national consumer commisson on 0860266786 . Retailers are responsible for mislabled adverts the act is pretty clear on that. But beware it is goverment run so dont expect lightning service.

I work at standard bank & nothing scares our complaints dept like CPA threats

My problem is that they advertise things they dont have in stock. CPA says if you advertise you better have it. If i had a screen of that deal i would be breaking doors at vodaworld. Their only argument could be that the deal has expired. The lady in the upgrades center said they would have stock this week & my phone would be delivered . I told them that should this not happen then besides the current complaint ( dont think anyone will get back on that) then ill lodge a formal complaint with the NCC. If i was you i would get a legal head to draft something and send it to them. We are no longer responsible for their screw ups . We are not lawyers but chances are if you know the act youll be better off than they are. The problem with the act is nobody uses it . Once Vodacom gets a knock or two theyll start to get the picture.
