My comment is regarding this post om MyBroadband:

https://mybroadband.co.za/news/industrynews/328861-south-africas-first-micro-usb-rechargeable-aa-and-aaa-batteries.html

Their packaging on the photos claim the "World's first" and this a LIE LIE LIE. They rebranded an existing product, and create hype by lying.

I have been buying and using these type of batteries for over 2 years from ebay like this :

If they were the first to lodge the patent for it, they have the right to claim it as the world's first..

But these have Infinite Power and are made by the critically acclaimed company that has taken the portable power bank market by storm.
Wow ... that is some epic bullshit!
Why is it that a lie, as long as it is big enough is called marketing and allowed to pollute our brains?!

If they lodged the first patent maybe but even on wantitall.co.za it's been available also for ages (different make). Also "patented", and reviewing my box from 2017 from ebay, also "Patented World Wide"

There are things called advertising standards. And blatantly lying is not marketing. It is Misleading the public.

Their advertised prices on website excludes vat. Anyone notice that?

I bought a couple AA's in the USA (I think Atlanta airport) during a visit around 2007. Still got them but don't use them.

Where's the mention of world's first? I didn't read it.

Maybe he meant this, the writing on the package
