It seems that the false session connection issue is back. Says it is connected but can't send or receive data. Rebooting works but then it happens over and over again.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Hasnt been happening to me. Only time it happens is when im dloading torrents and I have it set to too many connections. Lowering it to 45 connections stops the fake connection thing.

666... Looks much better that way :p What program are you using when it does this? Is it a specific time? The "666" is in the detail buddy!

Well Mr. Neosmell... I am forced to use the windows dialup feature to dial into the internet (prime unlimited) because when I use the stupid neotel software I get gut of at the convenient time of 12 am so I can't download through the night

All righty then this is a really warm and fuzzy :erm: interaction :p What I meant was more in the lines of what ushir was heading towards. Are you downloading off of Mozilla/ I.E. or are you using a torrent client like Vuze, bit torrent or the like? Is this drop in connection at night 24H00 everynight? Angel or demon I'm here to help...:D

The is no one cause that I can put my finger on. The line dropped about 10 times today. Don't use torrents much but I will fire some up and see what happens. The problem has been occuring on and off for a couple of weeks now. Last night I was on skype and the line dropped. Also dropped while using firefox and safari and while using flashget and jdownloader. The dropped line late at night isn't a problem because I set vista to automatically redial

Is your windows dial up set to disconnect on idle?

It is not. Idle time before hanging up = never. The issue isn't that the line completely drops and it has to redial. The issue is that it says that it is still connected and yes no data can be sent or received, just like when neotel were having their infamous problems a few months ago:eek:

Thank you for your help though ushir.

I was told by the Call Centre that all the Cape Town towers are down, could be bull as he also said it would be fixed by close of business and it isnt.

Ive got an issue too...not sure if its related...since thursday i havent been able to browse...my neoconnect manger says connected but ive got 1kb downloaded and 1kb uploaded and my browser doesnt load pages...

ive been having this problem for about a week. when the problem occurs i cannot disconnect... it still tells me 'connected' even after repeatedly clicking disconnect and unplugging the usb.

I've been having the same problems with my MTN 3G connection since installing windows 7. Seems to be a windows 7 issue & not sure how I should resolve it.
