1. Many users do not need a hi-cap package.
1. Many users do not need a hi-cap package.
User usage patterns and needs change and adapt depending on availability, the more affordable bandwidth; the more users will utilise the Internet (Movies/VOIP/etc) the same as the so called on-line 'elite'. (VOIP to cut local telephone costs, download movies in minutes rather than days). The 'elite' is only the pioneers; not the privileged.
I can hardly afford these costs but need it to earn a living.
Have a look at the 'figures for job creation via the Internet in India', this kind of justification for Telkom serves only to further deprive the non-elite, from opportunity, and shows the real damage Telkom is doing, to the people of this country. Unfortunately the non-elite cant always speak for themselves nor can they afford the ADSL service. How many new jobs have Telkom created in ten years in this country to even justify their continued existence?
