Fantastical calendar app & synching with Outlook

Popped up a thread on a different forum - but figured I would try here as well, in the hopes of maybe reaching a few more people who might be able to help. In a nutshell, hoping that someone who uses the Fantastical apps on their iDevices can tell me if they have any issues synching their appointments, if the latter is first 'set-up' in Outlook, on the work PC...

Does Fantastical "record" those Outlook appointments by speaking to the iDevices' Calendar apps, since currently - Calendar is synching with my work pc Outlook appointments/diary...

Any experiences first-hand will be greatly appreciated

I use Outlook, and sync my calendar to my google calendar (both ways) with google calendar sync.

Works very well.

Have no idea why you have issues with yours. Can't you use Google calendar?

Thanks for the reply. I don't have any issues - all works fine currently.

The Fantastical app looks really cool, and is something I'm considering getting for my MBP and iDevices. But I want to be sure that Fantastical will sync with my Outlook through Calendar. Been looking, and cannot figure out if this will work. So popped this up in the hopes that someone who uses Fantastical can give some feedback...

According to what I've read on the Fantastical website and some reviews, it seems like it can do exactly what you want. It uses your existing calendar app, eg. Outlook, iCal etc and gives you essentially a new front end. Your Mac, PC and iOS devices will continue working exactly the same as before because Fantastical just uses the same synching system you already use.

The best way to confirm this would be to download the trial and test it.

Fantastical on iOS is a waste since you still need to rely on the default calendar.app for notifications.

Thanks for the feedback - appreciate it.

Bwana's comment had me checking everything again. I've since noted that whereas my work calendar is synching everything to my iDevices, the Calendar on my MBP appears to be incomplete. Given the interaction between Fantastical and my default calendars - going to have to sort this out before even considering the upgrade/trial app (thanks for that suggestion!).
