Plan is to get a few big scoring game weeks of +80 points to cover for the bad weeks. This is only my second go at it and managed just under 2k points last season after only getting in on GW3 i think. I also took a break mid season after being knocked out of the cup in the third round.

I think the last time a South African won the FPL was the 2002/2003 season.

The winner from 2016/2017 ended with 2564 points with an average of GW score of 67.47 points (2015/2016 = 2470 ave = 65, 2014/2015 = 2458 ave = 64.68) so definitely far from over.

Now to just time when to use Triple Captain and Bench Boost Chips.

that's a fascinating stat .. 67.47 ... just have rooney to play tonight but sitting on 66 .. hopefully can get to the average because every week isn't going to be this good .

Salah also cost me points as I had David Silva on the bench and as the game carried on I was hoping that Klop would not bring him on and I would get an automatic substitution.

Only have one Liverpool player in my squad for next GW and depending on how he does against Hoffenheim, I might just bench Salah for their next game against Arsenal and also not certain if Klop will start with Salah. Currently a toss up between starting with Vardy, Xhaka or Salah for GW3. Other big decision is who to make captain between Mkhitaryan, Pogba or Lukaka.

No.

You also have a Free Hit chip you can use for unlimited transfers for the current GW but your team will revert back to the current selection for the next GW.

Wait..Isn't the Free Hit chip for unlimited transfers in one GW, whereas the Wildcard allows you to re-do your entire team?

Beginners luck is a beautiful thing .. now lets watch the dramatic collapse ..82 last week, 74 this week .. trajectory looks down ..
 
Well, I had Jesus and da Silva playing for me last night. A massive 3 points is what they got me...
