Sup man,

so after the CT rollout, where to next? Curious to know when/if Sentech plan on covering outlying area's in Gauteng?

The plan is to cover the whole of Gauteng eventually, but it depends on what you call outlaying, if thats like 10 houses scattered over a vast area from nowhere, then you gonna have a wait in store [:D]

So, until Cape Town has rolled out, there will be no new towers in Johannesburg?

When is Cape Town rollout expected?

New Towers are going up in Gauteng and Durban while they're getting Cape Town online

Okay, now, all the people without any business sense, please leave the internet to free up my bandwidth to download porn!

Why do you have to "put your two cents in"... but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?

Gauteng will continue, busy with several towers there atm as well as in Durbs.
Hope to start beta testing in CT on the 14th and switchon on the 27th - all going well :)

Yes - then Cape Town can also experience the thrill of 24/7 broadband at an outstanding 3k per second for days on end ! [:D]

Wonderful, there's yet hope for the MyWireless modem in my cupboard.

I am curious, how are decisions with regards to locations of towers made. Is it still based on clicks on the zone locator? I have made thousands of clicks, yet my area remains designated "No coverage".

Maybe this is outsourced? Who's arm should I twist to get the tower in my garden?

When you say whole of Gauteng eventually, would this also include places like the Vaal dam? There are so many from Joburg who live there in the weekends. Wouldn't be great to fish and remain connected?

There is an island at the Vaal dam where I think RAU has a water testing station. If one considers how well wireless signals travel over water, a tower at this island could serve all the waterfront properties from Vaal Marina to Deneysville.

I personally know many who spend their weekends there, yearning for internet connectivity. How about it, Sentech?

Just out of interest, I noticed that my tower (126 Hurlyvale) only has a 0 antenna according to the list. Why are the other two not on there as well? Sentech would cover Dunvegan, Eastleigh, Edenglen, Meadowdale area, maybe some Bedfordview as well?
