Gatecrasher said:I'm convinced, after much experimentation that an RWIN < 64k so you can avoid window scaling and timestamping is more optimal for Iburst. The full DrTCP settings I have are:
RWIN 62976 (MSS 1512 * 48)
Window Scaling: No
Time Stamping: No
Selective Acks: Yes
Dial Up (RAS) MTU: 1500
Path MTU Discovery: Yes
Black Hole Detection: No
Max Duplicative ACK's: 1
TTL: 64
MTU for all internet active NIC's: 1352
I think one of the main reasons for having a lower RWIN is the higher potential for frame errors on wireless transmissions. Re-submitting large amounts of data in response to errors could significantly slow down your connection.
