There's also the indirect cost which you will find when doing your grocery shopping.
 
Wont cost me a cent, i will take off my numberplate on the bike, if they want to fine me, go ahead. I wont pay for this BS
 
Just R10.50 a week for me, only hitting one tollgate each way.

But the amount is not the point, it's the principle behind it!
 
R 28.13 per day with no e-tag.
R 14.55 per day with e-tag.
 
~R22 per day if i get off at samrand and not further south at olifantsfontein (which would be ~R27 per day) (non e-tag)

I'm be driving hans strydom to R55 or hans strydom N14/R55 or hans strydom N14/N1 and getting off at samrand. That will be "free".

Can only drive R55 to hans strydom or R55/N14 to hans strydom back. Just show you how F'd up the gantry system is...

I'm basing this on when I lived in JHB a little while ago...

R686 without an etag (and thats just going to and from work, nothing more)
 
If I still lived in Jhb I would go through 0 gantries to & from work:).
Kempton Park to Midrand.
 
With an e-tag: R550 per month capped
At the rate of 58c/km : R792.92 per month
At the rate of R1.75/km : R2392.43 per month
 
The toll calculator is not always correct. It calculates a toll where there is no gantry on the carriegeway between the on ramp and off ramp. The toll calculated is for travel in the opposite direction where there is a gantry.

However, to answer the question, the toll will cost me Zero, unless I decide to use the toll roads on holiday.

Theoretically yes, but you are actually expected to get a day pass.. which you can only do 12times a year (iirc)
 
Depends on how many meetings I have over the course of a day. I usually have two to three meetings per day split between Benoni, Sandton, JHB CBD and Pretoria. So anywhere from R1000.00 per month upwards. Over the duration of the repayment terms that equates to a minimum of R132,000.00 that I would have paid for the luxury of cocked up roadworks, confusing on and off ramps, no decrease in traffic congestion and a hernia or two brought about by sheer frustration after passing under the world's most expensive UV lights on a daily basis.

That's not accounting for the inflationary increases, downward pressure on the economy and decreased value in my investment portfolios. Fsck them!
